Salman Khan too made his first appearance on the small screen with Dus ka Dum on Sony TV. It is the creation of Siddhartha Basu and Synergy Labs, the inventors of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ and ‘Paanchvi Paas Se Tez.
Distinct from other shows like KBC or Paanchvi Paas Se Tez, Dus ka Dum is not a quiz proramme. General Knowledge need not be crammed. The show is reasonably very uncomplicated and is likely to be acquainted with the Indian audiences very rapidly. The contestants should have the similar feeling what most of the Indian feel .The nearer the player is to the answer in the estimation poll, the healthier are his chances of winning.
Salman Khan like SRK was seen having a close bonding with the participants, but it had to be mentioned that he does not acquire the magnetism nor the screen existence like King Khan. All the player has to do is make a presumption of how the majority of Indians are belief. The show probably may catch up in the days to come. The prize money of 10 Crores is the largest amount offered on a Game Show in India thus far. But in the first episode, the first contestant lost Rs. 10 lakhs in the pursuit to play for the 1 crore question. Had she quitted at Rs. 10 lakhs she need not have faced herself in such a distressing and reprehensible state of affairs. But as the case is, this is the rule of the game!!

Shah Rukh feels cricket is commercially doable and will reverse to essentials if cricket fails.
Shah Rukh Khan remarked that the opportunity to make money from cricket and then promoting it to other sports was the main raison d’être for him to get implicated with the Cricket Board-promoted Indian Premier League.
“Commerce and business are very important in today’s world. Cricket is commercially viable and we need to make money from this sport,” alleged the actor, who has bought the Kolkata franchise of the IPL, in Pune.
Shahrukh said this in the presence of Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President and MP Suresh Kalmadi who, in turn, requested the superstar to share his icon status with other sports also.
“I am very happy with `Chak de India’ and the work you did for hockey. But I’m disappointed you went back to cricket. I want you to be made the ambassador of the Commonweath Games and Olympic sports in India,” assumed Kalmadi at the inauguration of the Abhijit Kadam Memorial Football Cup.
“There are around 10 nations playing cricket at the moment and over 200 countries competiting in Olympic sports. Cricket has many fathers and I would love to have you as the brand ambassador for the Commonwealth Games,” he supplemented.
However, the annotations did not go healthy with the actor, who took a sneer at the IOA President. “Please don’t feel bad that I am backing only one sport. Sports should be part of our second nature and I am a sportsperson by heart,” he held.
“My next step would be to take it money earned in IPL to hockey, football, kho kho, also kabaddi and gulli danda,” said SRK fudging.

Off late, a young music composer Ram Sampath made the Roshans recompense the price for plagiarism. Ram Sampath had composed a jingle The Thump for a Sony Ericsson TV commercial, which is endorsed by Hrithik Roshan. It is very sad that Plagiarism has become very unbridled today. People are just lifting tunes. Hereafter, Roshans who have the regular habit of stealing music will think twice before stealing another tune, keeping in view the huge amount they had to pay to the music director as compensation.
They are in fact copying a lot from Pakistani music too. The super duper hit film of our industry K3G ’s most popular song “boley choodiyan” was copied in tune from a popular private pakistani number ” ghar aaja sohniya” sung by female singer “shazia manzoor”
Music directors should know the difference between motivation and plagiarism. Resourceful inspiration is not always wrong. Sometimes you get to listen great songs due to this creative inspiration. Copying in any sense is wrong and should not be done.

Parvathy Omanakuttan (centre, with Miss India Earth 2008 Harshita Saxena and Miss India Universe 2008 winner Simran Kaur Mundi)
Surrounded by transcription of her being crowned Miss India World 2008, websites catering to Keralites were operating ultimately and for good raison d’être.
Parvathy is the first Malayali to become Miss India World. This 20-year-old classical beauty hails from Changanacherry in Kottayam district, but is presently based in Mumbai.
Parvathy Omanakuttan, who won the Pantaloon Femina Miss India World 2008, has set Keralites talking. And they are still talking and talking and talking…
“It is a great feeling and is something that is beyond expression. I would say there is no better high than seeing your dreams become reality,” said a joyful Parvathy, an English Literature graduate from Mithibhai College in Mumbai.
“I was just seven when I saw Sushmita Sen and Aishwarya Rai winning the pageant. I decided then that one day I would also be like them.’”
Her main substance on winning the pageant was her answer on marital relations. Asked whether the rise in the divorce rate in India was a result of Western influence, she said: “Divorces are not the result of Western influence.
At the end of the day it is we who decide one’s worth. Marriage is not when one completes the other, but when both share their completeness.”
‘Sweet girl’
It was her serene answer that set her spaced out from the respite, and her teachers and former classmates conspicuously remember her for that excellence.
“She was very sweet and above average,” her former teacher stated.
“Parvathy was quietly confident, you know, the determined type,” she said, adding that the “sweet girl” was popular among friends.
Her Andheri neighbours recalled how, early in the morning, they used to come across Parvathy, drenched in sweat, jogging around their neighborhood with her mother in tow.
Now all that solid exertion has paid off and Malayalis in her neighbourhood are swollen with satisfaction . They reeled off their pains in dispensing the SMS vote round in the contest.
After the crowning, when the winners were approached backstage and asked how they intended to chill out, they answered in unanimity.
After weeks of being on a harsh diet, they wanted to party tough and push the boat out by overwhelming chocolate pastries, brownies, ice-cream and pizzas with cheese toppings!
And how will the Malayalis have a good time?
Zimbly by rolling to chatter and utter and talk!!

Another wonder baby born in India. She has two faces!
Villagers are queuing outside Lali’s house to get a foretaste of the “Goddess”, baby Lali, a 24-day-old baby girl in Saini village near Noida. She is all set out to be rather a mob puller.
This wonder baby was born on March 11 to a Dalit family in a private hospital in Noida, the newborn has four eyes and two mouths. The infant with two faces is, however, unwavering and in good physical shape. In fact, despite the deformity, the child and her mother Sushma were discharged just the next day of the delivery.
“The baby’s delivery was normal and we felt there was no need to keep them in the hospital for further tests. But Lali’s mother had not come to us during her pregnancy,” stated Dr Archana of Saifi Hospital.
The child’s father, Vinod Singh, alleged, “We were shocked to see the baby. The doctor assured us that Lali would be a normal child in every other way. During her pregnancy, my wife was never ill and we never felt the need to consult a doctor.”
Lali’s is the first child of Sushma and Vinod, who got married in February 2007. “Initially we had some problem in accepting the child but now everything is fine. She is just like any other child,” believed the befuddled Sushma.
Older members in Saini Village uphold the child possesses celestial powers. “God has made her like this and we are lucky to be her parents,” assumed Brahm Singh, the grandfather, a daily wager in the Indian Railways.

- Anwesha Duttagupta, the contestant in Chhote Ustaad from Kolkata has won many hearts through her soulful singing. Even after coming in the scaryland repeatedly, this girl made sure to make it to the finals through her talent. She won the hearts of everyone on the show with her sweet smile and her melodious singing. A very down to earth girl she is sure to create waves in the music industry is what most music lovers feel.
- How has your journey been through Chhote Ustaad?
- It has been a great experience. I have learnt a lot apart from the competition. And I enjoyed a lot with all my friends. And most importantly, I got to learn a lot from two very important people Anand Sharma and Anuj Kapoor, who help us train and give us a lot of technical tips.
- How do you feel reaching the finals?
- I am quite excited about being in the finals. I am workinhg really hard and we will try and give our best so that the finale is a rocking show.
- Were you sure of coming this far?
- I wouldn’t say that I was over-confident of making it big here, at the same time I was sure that I had it in me to move on in the competition. My mother had always told me to take it one step at a time. And that’s what I did, I started out slowly by thinking that I just hope I reach the top 11 first. Doing so, I have finally reached the finals.
- How are you preparing for the finals?
- Preparation is going on pretty strong. We are concentrating a lot more on the performance and our singing. Along with the tension of being in the finals, there is also a lot of excitement. We are working very hard to make sure the finale is a good show.
- Among the three judges, who is ur favorite?
- All three of them are equally nice. They have all been very caring towards us throughout the competition. They have always made their decisions unanimously and their comments usually don’t vary. All three are the best in their own style and genre.
- In the usual format of such shows except for the finals, all the ronds are done in the studio. How do you feel going through this changed format? Which format do you feel is better?
- Well when it is a live performance, we have to practice a lot more than for a recorded performance. There is a lot of stress and tension associated with a live performance. In fact I was present for the grand finale of Star Voice of India and I saw that there were a lot of rehearsals held. I have never thought on the lines of which format is better. Both the formats are good in their own way.
- Who among you two have the best chance to win?
- Umm… what can I say about that? Both of us are working very hard and will give our best. Winning or losing is a part of any competition. All I can say is that after coming to this platform, we have received equal adulation and blessings and I don’t think winning or losing really matters, after reaching to this level.
- Any incident that touched you and you would be taking with you after the show gets over?
- Yeah I do have a special memory. When the Star Voice of India finale was going on, Lata Mangeshkar had come as the celebrity judge on the show and I was quite excited to meet her. I went up to her and received her blessings too.
- Future plans after this show?
- After Chhote Ustaad, I hope to become a successful playback singer. Hopefully as I grow I become a versatile singer, that’s all is what I wish for.
- Actresses you would love to do playback singing for?
- I would like to do playback singing for all the actresses.
