As Everyone Knows Rakhi Sawant on Tuesday filed a criminal complaint against Star Plus channel, alleging them of cheating after she lost in the finals of reality show Nach Baliye 3.(read related article under this category on bestdesi)
Star Plus in turn has rejected the charges of malpractice and called the whole fiasco as nothing but just a publicity stunt by Rakhi. They even refused to comment on the police case filed as claimed by Rakhi.
Mr. Keertan, Executive Vice-President & General Manager, Star Plus says, “Currently we have not received any communication either from Rakhi or from Police. We feel this is just a publicity stunt by Rakhi just like all other publicity stunts. We would not like to comment until we receive a clear communication.†Mr. Keertan also cleared the allegation of the faulty voting system saying, “We have not done anything of the sort. She is alleging lot of things, throwing a lot of allegations in the air, but where is the evidence to prove any of these allegations?
Tomorrow anybody in the street can charge anything on anybody. Without any evidence or proof, you just cannot speak out.â€
Seeing the manner in which the controversial star, Rakhi has gone all out, the channel feels that this is more of a case of a sour looser. “See, till she made it to the finals and other couples were getting eliminated, everything was right. So what happened now? Essentially we would say it’s a simple case of Grapes are sour theoryâ€, says Mr. Keertan.
What Do u Say Friends Is this really a case of ‘ Grapes are sour ‘ Or What Rakhi stated is Correct ?

A Class 10 boy shot dead a Class 8 student with a locally made illicit revolver following a quarrel in the school in Madhya Pradesh’s Satna district Thursday.
In another deplorable incident, an eighth class student of a Government school in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh was killed on Thursday when his senior schoolmate allegedly shot at him in the school premises in the second such crime in the country in a month.
In a repeat of the Gurgaon school shooting last month, police said the assailant whipped out a country-made revolver and gunned down the 15-year-old victim, an eighth-standard student in the school in Chorbani village.
It was not immediately known what provoked the shooting during school hours but there were reports that it occurred after a punch-up between the two students, police said of the incident reminiscent of the gun violence in schools in the US.
The injured student was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries on the way. The exact cause of the quarrel was not yet known,.Police have registered a case and investigations are on the move but no arrests have been made so far.
On December 11, an eighth standard student of an elite school in Gurgaon was killed when two classmates allegedly pumped five bullets into him at point blank range in perhaps the first such shooting in a school in the country. Old bitterness was supposed to have triggered this incident.

Rakhi alleges she was cheated in reality show.
Crime Branch Deptt. Of the Mumbai Police will enquire into Rakhi Sawant’s and Abhishek’s complaint against Star Plus, the reality show owner of Nach Baliye-3.
- On 15th December, 2007, TV stars Sanjeeda and her Baliye Amir were declared winners of the third Nach Baliye reality dance show, Rakhi-Abhishek were declared the runners up (read related article on this in Bestdesi.com)
- Rakhi alleges that voting was tampered and SMSs in her support were blocked, thus indulging in software manipulation. She further alleges that even before the results were out, they had known that they were lost in the run. She adds that the channel was trying to promote its own shows by ensuring victory for those who act in them, she added. Both Sanjida and Amir act in different serials aired on Star Plus.
- The duo alleges that if the police do not enquire into the matter under “cyber crimeâ€, such frauds will never stop and Rakhi has pleaded the Mumbai Police to act as “Santa†and initiate action against the channel and the show organizers.
- Incidentally, Mumbai Police has made it clear that was a “non priority†matter and would be probed in a routine manner only as according to the Police there are far bigger issues of importance than this, so they will deploy their men as per the merits of the case.
- Rakhi also challenged other contestants saying, “I and Abhishek will be performing on 31st night, which will be a challenge for us and everybody else. People will come to know the real abilities of Rakhi and Abhishek.”
- We at BestDesi.com feels that all over again this is a media hype feat of Rakhi, she is not even an established actress and as us usual Rakhi is very superlative undertaking these form of gimmicks and it is absolute squander of time on her part to do these type of campaigns thus wasting the time and energy of Mumbai Police who have lots of other significant everyday jobs on their shoulders than intriguing care of melodramatic queen Rakhi’s tantrums. She just wants to create a controversy for the sake of it, she lost because of her DIRTY image rather than vote rigging.

Mumbai: Hundreds of fans and onlookers who had been waiting for hours outside Sanjay Dutt’s residence at Pali Hill in Bandra burst firecrackers and distributed sweets on Thursday as the 48-year-old actor reportedly returned home after 22 days in Pune’s Yerawada Jail.
A happy but tired looking Dutt, dressed in a white kurta and trademark blue jeans, was quickly whisked inside by his friends and relatives.
Later, the famous actor came out and mingled with his fans, accepting bouquets, shaking hands and thanking them for the unfailing support and love.
Dutt had appealed for his sentence under the Arms Act to be set aside and for him to be released on probation - as well as filed for bail till the Court decided on his probation plea.
“A huge relief“
Given past records and the very long legal process, it will no doubt make quite some time for Dutt’s case to be heard on its merits - meanwhile the actor, as soon as formalities are complete, will walk free and then pursue his film career.
Dutt’s family were not present in court today; however, his battery of lawyers conveyed to them the news and everyone was extremely happy with this development. Subsequently Dutt’s sister Priya held a brief press conference in which she said, “Of course it is a relief for everyone who is in any way associated with Sanjay. We have gone through the last 13 years and followed every process of law, and had full faith in the law. And this the biggest gift that we have got in return today.“ Ms Priya added, “The battle is not over yet. We have to still face a lot and we will, and that will be the next leg of preparations. I want to thank the people of this country, everyone who has prayed so hard for him, the media which has been very supportive and God to top it all as He has given us our strength - my parents, who I know are around us and will always be around us.“

Dr.Kiran Bedi, IPS Officer is a role model to the women of substance:
- · According to Kiran Bedi , “My concept of a modern woman is a liberated woman. Educated or not, economically independent or not, such a woman is capable of taking her own decisions and standing by them, and-whether she suffers from them or not-she does not look for a shoulder to weep on.” Even so, she says, women “need more quality education and much more vocational training to become truly empowered.” Property ownership is another key to empowerment. “With ownership (or joint ownership),” she says, “a man cannot drink away the family’s property, or sell it and leave the woman and children on the street.· Accomplishing that goal has become the number one priority of the National Commission for Women in India, but the government continues to drag its feet. Political parties must come together in support of this program as well as in support of family planning and more equitable educational opportunities. If they do not, the next generation will not have enough schools, teachers, transportation, health care, housing, or work. Such a situation is a recipe for civil unrest.” For India as a whole, Kiran says, “the key to change lies in the empowerment of village women-the largest percentage of women in India-but change in rural areas is agonizingly slow in coming.”
· Empowerment is related to population. “India is a rich country and should be a beautifully developed country,” Kiran says. “If population had been controlled twenty years ago there would be surplus rather than scarcity, and current growth would not be held captive by the ever-present need to feed new mouths. Women must learn and be allowed to say, ‘No! I don’t want any more than this.’ When that day arrives, daughters will be seen to be as much of an asset as sons, because educated daughters will be as equally capable to take care of parents in their old age as sons. Therefore, economically empowered women are crucial in the struggle to shape a new India.”
· In 1994, backing up her commitment to support reform in several areas, Kiran created the India Vision Foundation, a registered nongovernmental organization designed to carry out projects in the fields of prison reform, drug abuse prevention, empowerment of women, assistance to the mentally disabled, and sports promotion.
· Kiran, who has lived most of her life in the public view, has become a role model for Indian women-the disadvantaged, the marginalized, and the voiceless. Many believe that she literally embodies the struggle for gender equality. She has constantly had to fight against the commonly accepted bias that she is, after all, only female. She has had to battle systems that codify the dehumanization of women, and cultures that are all too willing to toss the talents and potential contributions of women on the rubbish dump. Kiran’s “crimes” have included functioning as an equal, speaking the truth as she saw it, having and implementing original ideas, working hard, and garnering success. And her lack of interest in “playing the game,” within a service in which professionalism has been replaced by favouritism, has been costly both professionally and personally. Although she has realized her childhood dream to “count for something,” her path has not been easy or without the need for sacrifice.
· Even her achievements and awards for service fuel controversy. Some, in looking at her history, see a dedicated and successful officer. Others, generally from among the ranks of the privileged and powerful, see an uppity woman-a narcissistic, publicity-hungry, regulation-flaunting, self-serving, rogue officer who constantly needs to be kept in her place.
· There is no need to say anything specific about this great Indian,” says Gulzar, “She won the Magasaysay Award for her work among prisoners. She has shown what a police officer should be like to our country. She is an icon and a model for all Indian women. We are proud of her because of her many-splendour personality. Whichever function she graces, she adds enlightenment and humour to it. Hers is truly an awesome presence.”
· The first woman IPS officer of India was denied the post of the Commissioner of Police, Delhi. Known for her dedication, she changed the face of Tihar prison as IG, Prisons. She is known for her outstanding work as Police Advisor in the UN peacekeeping department.
· Kiran Bedi, New Delhi’s renowned Inspector General of Prisons, described her presence at Asia Plateau as `a pilgrimage fulfilled’. She had been the first woman recruited to the Indian Police Force, in the 1970s, and when supervisor of Asia’s largest prison, in New Delhi, had introduced Gandhian philosophy and practice. This had dramatically.
· Whatever the outcome, her commitment to family planning, prison reform, women’s emancipation, and education for independence will continue.
· As Kiran Bedi likes Anne Dresskell’s saying “If you look out to do something, it is always possible.”
