’KYA AAP Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain’ is building up the impetus, with Shahrukh Khan as the anchor, this show has become a ought to watch for people of all type of age groups. The fifth standard questions have by now made all the doctors and professional contestants sweat till date. Adding to their discomfiture, they have to look in front of the camera and say that they, even after being so educated, are not ’tez’ than a ’panchvi pass’.
The hottest couple to attend the classes would be Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. The couple would answer the questions by means of their brainpower, humor and knowledge. It would be attention-grabbing to see how far the couple would go in answering the questions.
The shoot of the special episode is over but it has not yet been finalized when the show would be telecast. Previously Bebo and Saif had appeared in Kaun Banega Crorepati, hosted by SRK, individually. But this time, they would appear jointly to face the headmaster’s questions. As customary, the amount the couple would win will be donated for charitable trust of their choice.

Salman Khan too made his first appearance on the small screen with Dus ka Dum on Sony TV. It is the creation of Siddhartha Basu and Synergy Labs, the inventors of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ and ‘Paanchvi Paas Se Tez.
Distinct from other shows like KBC or Paanchvi Paas Se Tez, Dus ka Dum is not a quiz proramme. General Knowledge need not be crammed. The show is reasonably very uncomplicated and is likely to be acquainted with the Indian audiences very rapidly. The contestants should have the similar feeling what most of the Indian feel .The nearer the player is to the answer in the estimation poll, the healthier are his chances of winning.
Salman Khan like SRK was seen having a close bonding with the participants, but it had to be mentioned that he does not acquire the magnetism nor the screen existence like King Khan. All the player has to do is make a presumption of how the majority of Indians are belief. The show probably may catch up in the days to come. The prize money of 10 Crores is the largest amount offered on a Game Show in India thus far. But in the first episode, the first contestant lost Rs. 10 lakhs in the pursuit to play for the 1 crore question. Had she quitted at Rs. 10 lakhs she need not have faced herself in such a distressing and reprehensible state of affairs. But as the case is, this is the rule of the game!!

Suresh Menon, comedian of TV is in the preparation for a 24-hour comedy channel to leave the audience in jerks.
“I have been meeting different people involved in this field for starting a comedy channel which is my brainchild. Let’s see how my 15 years of experience on television comes to use. I shall be able to make a definite announcement in two months,” stated the exited Menon.
According to Menon, some comedy shows are currently on air, still there is a lot of breathing space for comedy on television and the substance is doing well and is getting better day by day.
Menon said that he has five films on floors; Don’t worry be happy, Tom Dick and Harry part II, 24 hour gupshup, The Man and Chatursingh.
He added “Comedy is here to stay in films. But, heroes would not like to call themselves as comedians. This is where films like Khalbali hai Khalbali directed by Ajay Chandok come into picture. This movie has 30 comedians together for the first time. I play a bell boy, a confused character in his own world. It is an interesting role,” says Menon.
Menon felt that it was wonderful working with comedians like Johnny lever, Shakti Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Tiku Talsania, Manoj Joshi, Rakesh Bedi, Vrajesh Hirjee, Dinesh Hingoo, Asif Sheikh, Ketki Dave,Delnaz Paul, Rasika Joshi, Chunky Pandey and many like that.
“Even though the hero of the film is Nikhil Dwivedi, all the comedians have pivotal roles and our characters have gelled very well to the main plot,” expressed the shy Menon.

‘Saas bahu’ family soap operas which occupy prime time are slowly but surely trailing out to evocative entertainment on Indian television, with viewers switching adherence to rationally exciting reality shows.
The Channels are coming up with a variety of programmes and hence they are the process of relaunching many of the oldie programmes.
Sony Entertainment Television is in the preparatory stage for new reality series, ‘Das Kadam’ from June 10. They have now launched a new reality show ‘Naya Roop, Naya Zindagi’, hosted by Mona Singh, which gives a makeover to the lives, looks and destinies of 10 people with imperfect looks and facial deformities, generally sufferers of concurrent tragedies.
The number of reality shows has outnumbered fictional and emotional soaps in the Indian tube. Serials like ‘Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ wherein the great Tulsiji has re-emerged with the predicament of amnesia and ‘Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki’ where Parvathi Bhabhi has died, ascended and now again planning to die have enough fascinated family audiences with their vivid family sagas, reality shows like ‘MTV Roadies’ and ‘Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain’ - featuring superstar Shah Rukh Khan are very admired as on date.
‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, initially hosted by the renowned Amitabh Bachchan, in many ways innovated reality shows on Indian TV. Many Channels has tried to reproduce the similar sort of programmes, but it was a gigantic disappointment, only Star Plus had been successful in holding gaming questions with recompense of good money in return.
The History Channel is sponsoring its second instalment of History Rocks, a platform of the lives and times of the legends of rock music, on popular demand.
CNBC launched two communicating aptitude shows, ‘Mr and Mrs Television’ and ‘Waar Parivar: Sangeet Ka Naya Gharana’ in April.
The Indian Premiere League (IPL), debatably the furthermost reality show on Indian television exactly now. CNBC’s reformulated posy of documentary films, ‘Through the Looking Glass’, is much attractive now.
To sum up, audiences are more engrossed and fascinated in watching genuine and valid enhanced programmes rather than watching and wasting their time in saas bahu lamenting serials and illusory irritating amusement like “Ish……. Koyi he?” or “Krishna Arjun” and bits and pieces like that. Ekta Kapoor are you listening?
The data which experienced actor Amitabh Bachchan offered in his blog about ‘Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain’ hosted by Shah Rukh Khan fail to give a complete picture, alleged Siddhartha Basu, the producer of the TV quiz show.
‘Mr. Bachchan is entitled to his views and we respect his opinion, whether we agree with it or not. The figures sent to him as used in the blog give an incomplete picture,’ Basu remarked.
In his blog, the Big B have observed on Shah Rukh’s spell in ‘Paanchvi Pass’ and questioned why ‘despite the presence of the biggest name in the business’, the show was showing a depleting performance as per Television Rating Points (TRPs).
”Paanchvi Pass’, or as one rival channel executive sniggered, ‘Paanchvi Fail’, after its not too encouraging numbers, facing relative lower ratings, is what I wish to debate on,’ wrote Amitabh.
Amitabh made spiteful similarities between himself and Shah Rukh as hosts of the popular game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC) which is no longer on air.
Basu, the creator behind both the shows, explained: ‘With the exponential growth in TV sets and viewers, analysts have shown how each subsequent series of ‘KBC’ actually had a higher viewership than the earlier ones and ‘KBC 3′ with Shah Rukh had the highest number of viewers. This no reflection on the excellence of Mr. Bachchan’s hosting of the show or Shah Rukh’s wit and charm. I believe Shah Rukh makes a superb host of ‘Paanchvi Pass’, and his repartee, articulation, sense of humour and unmatched ability to think on his feet mark him out as a truly world class host.’
Separately from Amitabh’s psychoanalysis that has provoked a lot of media attention, there has been guesswork that the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) matches have pretentious the popularity of ‘Paanchvi Pass’.
Basu agrees that IPL has affected the show’s viewership, saying: ‘Yes, of course, all new shows launched during this period such as ‘Paanchvi Pass’, and running ones too have been hugely affected by the IPL. A truer picture of the response to the show would emerge after IPL as its telecast would continue for the full run of 36 episodes.’

Reality shows go tantamount with huge excitement. After reality shows like Nach Baliye, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Yeh Hai Jalwa joins the bandwagon for on-stage drama.
And the core of hullabaloo is none other than our very own Rakhi Sawant. While the special attraction of this week’s episode on 9X’s Yeh Hai Jalwa was the charisma of the attractive and elegant Hrithik Roshan, what wraped the glare of publicity was the pronouncement of
the 10th couple, the Chuppa Rustam jodi.
The couple introduced as the wild card entry was none other than Rakhi’s beau Abhishek Avasthi and her good friend Urvashi Dholakia. Rakhi got furious. She didn’t like the way Abishek and Urvashi stole the show. She publicly insulted him. But Abhishek took it lightly and reacted that he wanted to give Rakhi a surprise. Poor Abishek, how long he will remain a henpecked beau!!!!

Afghanistan government has regimented private TV stations in the country to stop broadcasting popular Indian soap operas by April 15, which in fact reflected the growing sway of hardliners who criticised the serials as being “un-Islamic”.

- Anwesha Duttagupta, the contestant in Chhote Ustaad from Kolkata has won many hearts through her soulful singing. Even after coming in the scaryland repeatedly, this girl made sure to make it to the finals through her talent. She won the hearts of everyone on the show with her sweet smile and her melodious singing. A very down to earth girl she is sure to create waves in the music industry is what most music lovers feel.
- How has your journey been through Chhote Ustaad?
- It has been a great experience. I have learnt a lot apart from the competition. And I enjoyed a lot with all my friends. And most importantly, I got to learn a lot from two very important people Anand Sharma and Anuj Kapoor, who help us train and give us a lot of technical tips.
- How do you feel reaching the finals?
- I am quite excited about being in the finals. I am workinhg really hard and we will try and give our best so that the finale is a rocking show.
- Were you sure of coming this far?
- I wouldn’t say that I was over-confident of making it big here, at the same time I was sure that I had it in me to move on in the competition. My mother had always told me to take it one step at a time. And that’s what I did, I started out slowly by thinking that I just hope I reach the top 11 first. Doing so, I have finally reached the finals.
- How are you preparing for the finals?
- Preparation is going on pretty strong. We are concentrating a lot more on the performance and our singing. Along with the tension of being in the finals, there is also a lot of excitement. We are working very hard to make sure the finale is a good show.
- Among the three judges, who is ur favorite?
- All three of them are equally nice. They have all been very caring towards us throughout the competition. They have always made their decisions unanimously and their comments usually don’t vary. All three are the best in their own style and genre.
- In the usual format of such shows except for the finals, all the ronds are done in the studio. How do you feel going through this changed format? Which format do you feel is better?
- Well when it is a live performance, we have to practice a lot more than for a recorded performance. There is a lot of stress and tension associated with a live performance. In fact I was present for the grand finale of Star Voice of India and I saw that there were a lot of rehearsals held. I have never thought on the lines of which format is better. Both the formats are good in their own way.
- Who among you two have the best chance to win?
- Umm… what can I say about that? Both of us are working very hard and will give our best. Winning or losing is a part of any competition. All I can say is that after coming to this platform, we have received equal adulation and blessings and I don’t think winning or losing really matters, after reaching to this level.
- Any incident that touched you and you would be taking with you after the show gets over?
- Yeah I do have a special memory. When the Star Voice of India finale was going on, Lata Mangeshkar had come as the celebrity judge on the show and I was quite excited to meet her. I went up to her and received her blessings too.
- Future plans after this show?
- After Chhote Ustaad, I hope to become a successful playback singer. Hopefully as I grow I become a versatile singer, that’s all is what I wish for.
- Actresses you would love to do playback singing for?
- I would like to do playback singing for all the actresses.
