Tashan is a impending Bollywood film starring Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. It is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya who wrote the screenplay and dialogues for hits like Dhoom and Dhoom 2. The film will be produced by Aditya Chopra and Yash Chopra under Yash Raj Films and is planned for a release in April 25th, 2008.
The music
The music has just released and is soon set to swing the music charts.
Yash Raj movies recently are just a average offering in a sumptuous packaging. and Tashan is no exclusion.
Saif’s son, Ibrahim, will be seen making his debut with the film, and is reported to play his son. All the actors will be seen generous new looks designed by designer Aki Narula, with Kapoor in a very sensational role and apparently donning a bikini.
Where the shooting was done
In June 2007, the cast began filming in Kerala, and continued shooting in Laddakh and Rajasthan. Pictures of Khan and Kareena Kapoor were taken in September 2007 while shooting for the film in the Fort area of Mumbai. Some portions of the film were later shot in the city of Haridwar on the banks of the river Ganges and Greece.
Here is a brief preview of the hypered Tashan.
What happens when you hurl two guys who disgust each other together.
A cool call center executive Jimmy Cliff (Saif Ali Khan), a desi aspirant gangster Bachchan Pande (Akshay Kumar) add for good measure a beautiful girl Pooja (Kareena Kapoor) who can’t live trusted on a journey across extravagant India, a journey which will modify the route of their life in more ways than one, a voyage where even enemy need to reliance each other if they want to be energetic.
The snag is, in this world no one can be trustworthy ever!
And to top it all there is the wickedness eye of Bhaiyyaji aka Anil Kapoor, a nonconformist gangster who enjoys butchering people as much as he enjoys interpolation of English.
Secret revelation:
In the full film Saif and Kareena are in love in full swing, but in the closing stages it is Akshay Kumar who gets take hold of of Kareena! opps…
Prediction
Yash Raj’s all movies are not a hit like Chak De, his Laaga Chunri Me Daag went into melancholy, this movie may be liked by a certain section of masses, but it may not be family movie due to hypered thunderous scenes, as Kareena and Saif’s chemistry is on full scale. On a scale of 10, a rating of 7 may be given.
Off late, a young music composer Ram Sampath made the Roshans recompense the price for plagiarism. Ram Sampath had composed a jingle The Thump for a Sony Ericsson TV commercial, which is endorsed by Hrithik Roshan. It is very sad that Plagiarism has become very unbridled today. People are just lifting tunes. Hereafter, Roshans who have the regular habit of stealing music will think twice before stealing another tune, keeping in view the huge amount they had to pay to the music director as compensation.
They are in fact copying a lot from Pakistani music too. The super duper hit film of our industry K3G ’s most popular song “boley choodiyan” was copied in tune from a popular private pakistani number ” ghar aaja sohniya” sung by female singer “shazia manzoor”
Music directors should know the difference between motivation and plagiarism. Resourceful inspiration is not always wrong. Sometimes you get to listen great songs due to this creative inspiration. Copying in any sense is wrong and should not be done.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan received the best actor award for his recital in the Yash Raj Films’ super hit film “Chak De! India”.
Film and Television Producers’ Guild of India (FTPGI) honoured veteran Bollywood filmmaker Yash Chopra with its top award for “outstanding contribution to Indian Cinema”.
Kareena Kapoor walked away with the best actress trophy for the film “Jab We Met” at a scintillating presentation ceremony at the MMRDA Ground in the Bandra-Kurla Complex in northwest Mumbai Sunday. FTPGI hosts its own award ceremony to honour Indian artistes as well as creative and technical personalities from the film industry every year. The trophies are known as “Apsara” awards. While “Chak De! India” was chosen the best movie of 2007, its director Shimit Amin bagged the trophy for the best director. A Pakistani television channel, ARY Gold, also honoured actor Hrithik Roshan as the Best Male Style Icon of the year at the ceremony. Katrina Kaif bagged the Best Female Style Icon ARY Gold trophy. Akshay Kumar, who churned out the maximum number of hits last year, was adjudged the “Entertainer of the Year” by the FTPGI jury. NDTV Imagine honoured Deepika Pudokone and Ranbir Kapoor as the year’s best new faces, respectively. Salman Khan and Govinda received the hit pair NDTV Imagine trophy for their breezy performances in producer Sohail Khan’s hit movie last year, “Partner”. Salman Khan, Bipasha Basu, Kareena and Riteish Deshmukh performed on the stage. The awards presentation ceremony was put together by Wizcraft.
Wait, don’t blow the bugles yet. Its date of release has been announced so
often that yet
another postponement isn’t exactly surprising. The Mughal opus which was to be
released on
January 15 has been postponed to April. Not to worry, we’re talking April 2008.
Long wait
Perhaps the wait will make the heart grow fonder for Ashutosh Gowariker’s
Jodhaa-Akbar
featuring Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan in the eponymous roles. The film has
been so
painstakingly shot that its first cut clocked in at five-and-ahalf-hours. Now
all efforts are
being made to reduced the length to a more endurable three hours.
Meanwhile, many of the film’s supporting actors who gave months on end of their
dates for the
shooting schedules are simmering under their breath. More work, less pay Not
only were they
paid precious little money but had to forego other assignments - all in the hope
of getting
exposure on the Mughal-sized screen.
Yet, there is no denying that sometimes there are unavoidable delays. At
present, director
Gowariker is confined to bed because of a severe back ailment. He has been
advised to rest in
bed for two months, or so goes the trade talk. He is not taking phone calls or
responding to
SMSs.
First, the film produced by Gowariker with UTV was scheduled to be released
during the Diwali
season. It was then shifted to January 15 and then again to February 24.
1. Jashn-E-Bahaara - Javed Ali
2. Khwaja Mere Khwaja - A.R.Rahman
3. Mann Mohana - Bela Shende
4. In Lamhon Ke Daaman Mein - Sonu Nigam, Madhushree
5. Azeem-O-Shaan Shahenshah - Mohd. Aslam, Bonny Chakravarti
But it seems quite strange. We dont have anyone singing for Tansen,He is very much in the movie as the cast suggests.
I was expecting a classical song in the voice of AR.
Anyway one thing is clear Jashne has been sung by Javed Ali and not by some Anurag Kashyap as claimed by some forum members before

In lamho ke daaman mein (In the intimacy of these moments)
In lamho ke daaman mein, paakeza se rishtey hain
(In the intimacy of these moments, there are some pure relationships)
Koi kalma mohabbat ka, dohratay farishtay hain
(The angels are reiterating the spiritual song of love)
Khamosh si hain zameen, hairaan sa falak hain
(There is a silence in the land, the sky is amazed)
Ek noor hi noor sa ab aasaman talak hain
(There is a radiance right upto the skies)
Nagme hi nagme hain jaagti soti fizaon mein
(There is melody in the active and asleep surroundings)
Husn hain saari adaaon mein
(There is beauty in all your grace)
Ishq hain jaisi hawaon mein
(There is love in the air)
Kaisa yeh Ishq hain, kaisa yeh khwab hain
(What kind of love is this? What kind of dream is this?)
Kaise jazbaat ka umda sailaab hai
(What kind of a flood of emotions have gushed in?)
Din badley, raatein badli, baatein badli, jeene ke andaaz hi badle hain
(The days have changed, nights have changed, conversations changed, the mode of life has changed)
In lamho ke daman mein, pakeeza se rishtay hain
(In the intimacy of these moments, there are some pure relationships)
Koi kalma mohabbat ka, dohratay farishtay hain
(The angels are reiterating the spiritual songof love)
Jodha’s lines:
Hmmm, samay ne yeh kya kiya, ho…badal di hain kaya
(What has time done to us, it has changed my flesh/skin)
Tumhe maine pa liya, mujhe tumne paaya
(I have found you, you have found me)
Miley dekho aise hain hum, ke do sur ho jaise madham, koi zyaada na koi kum kisi raag mein
(We have met like as if two harmonies meet of a rythmn, neither high nor low)
Ke prem aag mein, jalte dono ki hai tan bhi hain man bhi, man bhi hain tan bhi
(As if in the flames of passion, both burn our body and soul, soul and body)
Akbar’s lines:
Mere khwabon ke is gulistaan mein, tumse hi to bahar chayee hain
(In the garden of my dreams/reverie, you have brought the beautiful springtime)
Phoolon mein rang mere they lekin, in mein khushboo tumhi se aayi hain
(The flowers have my colours, but the fragrance is from you)
Kyu hain yeh aarzoo, kyu hai yeh justju
(Why do these desires exist, why does this search lives on?)
Kyu dil bechain hain, kyu dil betaab hain
(Why is the heart so impatient, why is it so impulsive?)
Din badley, raatein badli, baatein badli, jeene ke andaaz hi badle hain
((The days have changed, nights have changed, conversations changed, the mode of life has changed)
In lamho ke daaman mein, paakeza se rishtey hain
(In the intimacy/companionship of these moments, there are some pure relationships)
Koi kalma mohabbat ka, dohratay farishtay hain…..
(The angels are reiterating the spiritual songof love)
p.s. Kalma means Beginning of a verse in Quran, implying a spiritual/holy song
Man Mohana (O lord Krishna)
Man mohana, man mohana
(O lord Krishna)
Kanha suno na, tum bin paaon kaise chain
(Oh lord Krishna listen, how do I find peace without you?)
Tarsoo tumhi ko din rain
(I crave for you day and night)
Chodke apne kashi mathura
(Leave your Kashi mathura behind)
Aake baso more nain

Tum bin paaon kaise chain
(How do I find peace without you?)
Tarsoo tumhi ko din rain
(I crave for you day and night)

(Why wont the heart fear, how wouldn’t it be anxious)
Man jo koi doraha apni raho mein paaye
(When the mind is on the crossroads)
Koun disha jaaye? Tum bin koun samjhaye
(Which path to follow? Who other than you would explain?)
Raas rachaiyya vrindavan ke gokul ke vaasi

Within hours of its release on 30th Nov, 2007, Actor Madhuri Dixit’s comeback movie Aaja Nachle had hit a erroneous note.
· Producers of Madhuri Dixit ’s comeback film Aaja Nachle , ran into a hullabaloo over its title song, later apologised for the lyrics and said that immediate action has been taken to remove the objectionable words.
· The instructions to remove the offending lyrics in the title song of the film had been sent to all distributors and exhibitors on Friday night and will not be heard in theatres from Saturday, a release from film’s producer Yashraj Films stated in Mumbai.
The prohibited lines are:
“Bazar me machi he maramar; bole mochi bhi khud ko sunharâ€
(There is so much chaos in the market that even a cobbler is calling himself a jeweller)…
· In New Delhi, activists of a Dalit outfit Indian Justice Party on Friday staged a demonstration against the movie alleging that the lyrics of a song hurt the Dalits. They found a line from the title track offensive and besieged movie halls showing the film and publicity material.
· That was good enough for UP Chief Minister Mayawati to revoke the ban, although Haryana and Punjab still haven’t allowed it to be screened. The team behind the film also apologised at a press conference in Mumbai.
“Nobody had any intentions of hurting or ridiculing anyone and nobody on the Censor Board saw it that way,” said script writer
Jaideep Sahni.
· But that didn’t gratify everyone. In Mumbai, Shiv Sena protested at a theatre while RPI leader Ramdas Athawale asked for the producer, director, writer and lyricist of the film to be charged under the Atrocity Act.
· The Minorities Commission also jumped in, saying the words used are unconstitutional. The film however, received support from directors and viewers alike.
“I saw the film and absolutely loved it. I think there is a cultural message,” said filmmaker Karan Johar.
· While controversy is not new to Bollywood films, this is something that even the makers of the movie may not have bargained for.
· The controversial lyrics has since been removed.
· And Madhuri Dixit has packed her luggage and proceeded to US in a distress state.
