Kaho Na Yaar He in Star Plus was launched last Friday, the host being the hero of Kasturi, Karen Patel, a.k.a one of the contestants of Nach Baliye-3.
I would say it is of the spurious programme, atleast to be aired on Friday prime time. Fridays being weekend, people like to stay indoor and watch constructive and functional programmes like Nach Baliye and Star VOI etc. Not a soul would like to squander one hour before the tube watching a lacklustre, dull and unexciting programme like Kaho Na Yaar He. The host has no screen charisma and no fling in his channel of communication. You don’t feel like hooking to the TV.  The contestants they brought in the fist time was incongruous. Sonu Nigam was abstemious and sober; he too was trying to be over-hyper, but Mallika Sherwat was atrocious, who does not know even kindergarten maths.
Earlier weekends were thriller, when programmes like Nach Baliye and VOI used to air. There was no probability that at least people like me used to go out for outing and all with the family. Now other then yawning and surfing the TV we have no alternative.
This Friday they invited Ronit Roy and Gautami a.k.a. Tulsi of Kyoki Kabhi Sass Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. I don’t know what made Tulsi to come in a mini frock, viewers are used to see her in Gujarati sari and grey hair, for a family show she should have alteast draped in a sari or some other full dress. Tulsi was looking dreadful and appalling.
The questions put up to the contestants are also dim-witted, bizarre, illogical and foolish. There is nothing entertaining or captivating to analyze or pay attention.
On the whole, the show is an immense failure and disappointment to many. Star Plus must pull out the programme and in its position they should embark on some other pleasant and enjoyable programme.
