Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan received the best actor award for his recital in the Yash Raj Films’ super hit film “Chak De! India”.
Film and Television Producers’ Guild of India (FTPGI) honoured veteran Bollywood filmmaker Yash Chopra with its top award for “outstanding contribution to Indian Cinema”.
Kareena Kapoor walked away with the best actress trophy for the film “Jab We Met” at a scintillating presentation ceremony at the MMRDA Ground in the Bandra-Kurla Complex in northwest Mumbai Sunday.
FTPGI hosts its own award ceremony to honour Indian artistes as well as creative and technical personalities from the film industry every year.
The trophies are known as “Apsara” awards.
While “Chak De! India” was chosen the best movie of 2007, its director Shimit Amin bagged the trophy for the best director.
A Pakistani television channel, ARY Gold, also honoured actor Hrithik Roshan as the Best Male Style Icon of the year at the ceremony.
Katrina Kaif bagged the Best Female Style Icon ARY Gold trophy.
Akshay Kumar, who churned out the maximum number of hits last year, was adjudged the “Entertainer of the Year” by the FTPGI jury.
NDTV Imagine honoured Deepika Pudokone and Ranbir Kapoor as the year’s best new faces, respectively.
Salman Khan and Govinda received the hit pair NDTV Imagine trophy for their breezy performances in producer Sohail Khan’s hit movie last year, “Partner”.
Salman Khan, Bipasha Basu, Kareena and Riteish Deshmukh performed on the stage. The awards presentation ceremony was put together by Wizcraft.

When Deepika Padukone met her idol, Rishi Kapoor not as a fan but Rishi’s son’s girlfriend she was flabbergasted and said “It’s amazing. But in his younger days my dad (badminton champ Prakash Padukone) was often told that he resembled Rishi Uncle. I grew up as his big fan, have seen Karz and Kabhi Kabhie number of times. When Ranbir took me to meet his parents, I was re-living my childhood images of the most compatible couple I’ve ever seen on screen.”
Even the Kapoors has welcomed their would be daughter in law that’s why Deepika feels “Rishi Uncle is so warm. As for Neetu Aunty, she has an aura of natural grace and charm about her. She’s very poised and articulate. I’ve met her more than I’ve met Uncle. Me and Rishi uncle are going to be working toge
ther. We had a reading together recently. He’s so passionate about cinema. I’ve so much to learn from him.”
Deepika cannot go on without appreciating the Kapoors, she has lot of regard to both of them which is apparent from her statement which says “Both Ranbir and his sister Ridhima have been brought up with the right values. They come from such an illustrious family. And yet they’re so down-to-earth. I see many similarities between their upbringing and mine. Though both Ranbir and I were exposed to celebrity situations from childhood, our parents have made sure we’re firmly rooted to reality.”
When asked about their marriage, Deepika expressed that “we’re both very comfortable in our relationship. Now that we’ve come out in the open about our relationship, our parents are very happy. Beyond that it’s too early to talk about marriage.”
About her affair with Yuvraj and on the impressionable comment made by Yuvraj, Deepika says confidently that “I really don’t think she said anything against me. If she had a grudge she’d call me up and talk to me. I always say that no outside source can know what kind of a relationship two people share. I spoke to her after the statements attributed to her came out. I’ve always shared a fantastic rapport with her. She’s a wonderful and strong person. I’ve learnt a lot from her. As a woman and mother, I look up to Yuvraaj’s mother. She’s a multi-tasking mother. She has single-handedly brought up her two children. Yuvraaj is doing extremely well for himself. And his younger brother who has just started out is also doing very well himself. I wish the family all the best.”

The ‘Filmfare Movie Awards’ is a prominent annually organized function at Mumbai for acknowledging and celebrating the best new and old talents in the Indian film industry. Nominees for this award is decided jointly by an expert panel and public voting.
The award when initiated in 1953, there used to be just five award categories in the Filmfare Movie Awards Ceremony ,for the best film, the best director, the best actor, the best actress and the best music director. Presently, Filmfare Award category has risen to as high as 31 to give identifying others contributed in film-making. It also comprises two Lifetime Achievement Awards. A separate category for film-critics awards resolute by famous film-critics moderately than votes of the general public is also included.

Sanjay Dutt tied the knot with Dilnasheen a.k.a Manyata according to the Hindu rituals on 11th February,2007 in Mumbai in one Manyata’s friend’s residence. Sunil Shetty did the job of her brother and did the kanyadan as none from the bride’s family were present. Even Sanjay’s sisters and daughter Trishala were indiscernible in the marriage. According to Priya Dutt, his sister, she was not aware of the marriage, she got the news via the media. According to the grapevine, Sanjay and Manyata had a court marriage on February 7th in Goa.
Now, Manyata’s previous husband Mr. Miraj has entered the scene in a cinematic comportment and claims that she was married to him on 5th April, 2003 in Oshiwala in Mumbai, her real name is Dilnasheen and they have a three year old son from their marriage, who is being brought up by her mother in Dubai and the attention-grabbing and exicting assert made by Mr Miraj is that Manyata is yet to divorce him. He is in possession of a Nikahnama issued by the Mumbai Shariat. If Manyata has not sought divorce from Miraj and is married now to Sanjay, a case of fidelity is probably to be filed against her.

It is also found that Mr. Miraj is presently in jail serving his term for prank calling female film stars and making indecent SMSs to various heroines and he claims that he used to exercise these activities at the behest of Manyata only. Miraj claims that recently Sanjay Dutt used to confront him and used goondaism to grab Manyata from him by using his power and influence.
Well, if the accusations prepared by Miraj are exact and accurate, Sanjay Dutt who is already undergoing court case against him for possessing AK 57, is likely to countenance more quandary, trouble, hullabaloo, corrupt and immorality case too for convincingly marrying Dilnasheen a.k.a Manyata as she still stands married to Miraj and has not separated from him legally.

There is a common myth that cucumber is a natural treat for dark circles. The fact is that cucumber does not possess any essence to remove swelling . Cucumber has 90% water retention it in. Even if you keep a damp cloth below your eyes, the result will be same.
Pimples and fried food:
For ages it has been known that pimples crop up up due to bulky intake of fried snacks and foods. Although it is a fact that fried food aggravates pimples but it is not the direct cause. Acnes and pimples appear due to bacteria and hormone disorder. For the treatment of pimples when you go to the doctors, these days they recommend a lipid profile and thyroid test to ascertain any hormonal disorder. But keeping low profile fried items will be a welcome boost. Too much cleaning your face too frequently can in fact amplify acne as the body compensates to reinstate the body oil washed away.
Obesity and slow metabolisms.
It is believed that we become fat because our metabolism is very slow.
Regrettably, a slow metabolism is no justification for being heavy. Studies divulge that fat people have quicker metabolisms and burn up more vigour than weight watchers merely to keep their bodies going away.
Avoiding breakfast to slim down:
Usually people think that skipping breakfast is good and it helps to slim down. But you are wrong, breakfast is an integral part of our food. Even if people who skip breakfast take up on their energy needs later in the day, they’re doubtful to get all the vitamins and minerals that a straightforward breakfast can supply.
One eat more after work out:
Eating habits has been built up by you over the years, workouts has not anything to do with it. As a result after strong exercise if you eat not anything you, are not gratifying your pristine appetite but merely satisfying physically for undertaking a few exercise.
Colouring hair throughout pregnancy:
A few physicians differ, but many consider that colouring the hair during pregnancy is not hazardous to the baby. If in doubt, always get the doctors’ consent to colour your hair all through pregnancy. As a rule it is believed that the main risk with hair colouring is not the use of the product to the scalp but the breathing of the tough chemical compound aroma.

All are aware that Bollywood heartthrob Salman Khan has proposed marriage to Katrina Kaif twice over the past two years. But this New Year’s Eve is said to have been quite different for this hot couple!
Bestdesi.com got the news through a common friend that all through December, Salman was in a contemplative mood about his love affair. He confessed to this friend that while his colleagues Shah Rukh and Hrithik were extremely happy with their wives and children, his own life was not going anywhere.
But unknown to many, Salman this time, set the stage for what appears to be the most romantic proposal of the year! Since the entire Khan family headed for their farm in Panvel to celebrate New Year, Salman quietly said he would drive down with Katrina. And according to the grapevine, just before they touched the farm at Panvel, Salman stopped the car and, under the stars, seriously proposed her.
Whether she has said the big ‘YES’ or not remains to be seen. But Salman has apparently returned in a jubilant mood. His friend tells us that Salman regrets the earlier two proposals he made to Katrina, for they were in view of others, which is said to have humiliated her.
Also, Khan is now willing to give her a free harness on her professional decisions. In keeping with the freedom his family has allowed to all women to work and be on their own, apparently Salman has realized that he cannot stop Katrina from following her dreams.
All that’s in his mind is that he does not want to lose this woman whom he loves so much. As for seeing them together on screen, Salman and Katrina will next appear in Subhash Ghai’s romantic Main Yuvraj, the shooting of which is already underway.
