The promos for King Khan’s new show Kya Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain? For Star Plus are in chock-a-block to rock. King Khan will begin shooting for the show from April 4. These are the first pictures from the promos of the show:
Big B is ensuring that his big kids enjoy a very private life, as he has recently purchased another bungalow near his own old Jalsa for his son and bahu. The main entrance of the new bungalow will be through Jalsa only( sounds like the oldie times tunnel built by the Mughals) which makes it obligatory for the beta and bahu that they see their dad and mom daily via coming out and going in and for the exterior people, they can hallucinate that all the fours live together…got it guys?
Southern Mississippi researchers contend that kids should be restrained from sleeping during day time as it makes them more dull, in fact it affects negatively their mental development as a whole.
Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit, heartthrob of many, who had returned with the dance and music film “Aaaja Nachle†has been named for the prestigious Padmashri award.
“Aaja Nachleâ€, although a very emotional movie containing dance, could not be a box office knock, but for her numerous fans it was a extravagance, who liked her performance. Madhuri is married to a US based heart surgeon and has two small sons.
“I have never been a part of number game and we are not the racing horses who should be numbered. Either the work you do is good or bad. I have come back not because I miss the media archlights or being written about… it’s secondary. I missed my craft!” she was quoted as saying.
Although Madhuri has gone back to her husband and kids in the US, but many producers/directors are in talk with her for signing her in their movie. According to rumours, she is yet to sign any movie, her main concern being raising her small kids.
I am an ardent and dedicated fan of Madhuri and I appreciate the Government of India for honouring her with this award. She really deserves it. Congratulations Madhuri!!

This beautiful daughter of actor Sanjay Dutt and Richa is raised in Queens, New York. She lost her mother when she was very young. Her mother succumbed to brain tumour. She lives with her maternal grandparents and aunties.
She is proud to be a part of the Dutt legacy. Her grandfather (the late Sunil Dutt) was a wonderful person and completely doted on Trishala. Sunil Dutt died 2 years back. Her grandmother (Nargis), who was absolutely gorgeous and had such a beautiful smile. Nargis died some 25 years ago due to cancer. Trishala love her movies and watch them all the time.
Trishla says her other aunts (Priya and Namrata) are also huge amusing to be with and she is also very close to her two cousins, Saachi and Siya (Namrata and Kumar Gaurav’s daughters). In India, she is very close to Ranbir and Riddhima Kapoor (Rishi Kapoor’s children) because Ranbir studied in the US and her aunt Enna was his custodian.
Trishala studied in a private school and according to her private school teachers were not actually manner to little kids. So when she was really tortured in such a school her parents immediately switched her to a public school. Trishla that was fantastic and she enjoyed her schooling
In US too she has her limits, she is only allowed to go out once a week with friends when college starts. She also have a 11 p.m. time limit, and occasionally if she ask satisfactorily and if she has been excellent, then her folks make advanced it a bit by half-an-hour.
Trishla determined to get a degree in law from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City, because she wanted to support herself with a degree in law, both for dad and for herself. She says even Sanjay Dutt too is happy with her decision.
Trishla’s eventual dream is to become honest lawyer and fight for her father. She says “my mouth would not stop rattling awaiting my aim had been heard, and until I get what I want. I would carry on skirmishing until I hear the reply my ears want to hear. They may say I’m a fighter as well, who is not afraid to say what is accurate. If I feel incredible can be ready, I will not snooze in anticipation unless it is done.â€
On being asked about her fathers’ alleged marriage to Manyata, she said its her dad’s private life and she has nothing to do with it.
And so the fighter lives on….for her dad, for her family and for herself……
2007 was a great year for the Hindi film industry. BestDesi team chooses top 10 films.
This year Fresh new faces made an appearance, old talents resurfaced, and already successful actors moved out of their comfort zone.
2007 gave us Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor (both in Saawariya), Deepika Padukone (Om Shanti Om) and Darsheel Safary (Taare Zameen Par) – the bright new faces of tomorrow’s Bollywood.
We saw Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan take on roles they’ve never done before: Shah Rukh giving up his mannerisms (in Chak De India!), Aamir becoming a director (in Taare Zameen Par).
Madhuri Dixit and Govinda both made their comebacks, pleasing their huge fan followings no end.
2007’s ten best films, in no particular order:
Gandhi, My Father
Cast: Akshaye Khanna, Bhoomika Chawla Plot: The film focuses on Harilal, the son of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Its message: The father of the Indian nation failed as a father to his son. Why it’s special: A very bold and sensitive storyline was taken forward by exceptional acting, particularly by Akshaye Khanna as the disturbed son of the Mahatma.
Chak De India!
Cast: Shah Rukh Khan, Vidya Malvade etc. Plot: A disgraced former Indian hockey captain bounces back to lead the women’s team to international victory, against all odds. Why it’s special: Based on the real-life story of Mir Ranjan Negi, a former coach of the Indian women’s hockey team, the film saw Shah Rukh Khan rise spectacularly above his mannerisms. The film proved that a Hindi film can work without any singing around trees. It also helped rekindle public interest in the national sport of hockey.
Om Shanti Om
Cast: Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone etc. Plot: Inspired by the Eighties classic Karz, the film revolves around revenge and re-incarnation, with Shah Rukh in a double role with a twist. Why it’s special: The film dares to make fun of Seventies’ and Eighties’ Bollywood, including Big B, yet is always in good taste. Brilliant music, acting and costumes all around. Model Deepika makes a pretty good impression in her first film.
Aaja Nachle Cast: Madhuri Dixit, Akshaye Khanna, Kunal Kapoor, Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma Plot: A dancer returns to her roots and forces her city to sit up and take notice. Why it’s special: Madhuri Dixit’s comeback movie may have not done well in the box office, but it proved — again — that Madhuri is beautiful, talented and an exceptional dancer. The fairy-tale plot let the otherwise good movie down.
Plot: A psycho-thriller, the movie revolves around a “haunted” house, an ancient family and its many complications. Why it’s special: Remake of a classic Malayalam film, Bhool Bhulaiya moves quickly with edge-of-seat action. Vidya Balan shines in a role of many shades.
Guru
Cast: Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, R. Madhavan, Vidya Balan, Mithun Chakraborty Plot: A rags-to-riches story, arguably inspired by the life of Indian tycoon Dhirubhai Ambani. Why it’s special: A taut storyline that saw exceptional acting by its cast. The director dared to deglamorise Aishwarya and re-introduce Mithun, a senior actor languishing in B-grade movies.
Partner
Cast: Salman Khan, Govinda, Lara Dutta, Katrina Kaif Plot: A remake of Hitch, the story’s all about falling in love – and its many complications. Why it’s special: A fun movie, it marks the re-entry of Govinda as an A-list actor with perfect comic timing.
Taare Zameen Par
Cast: Aamir Khan, Darsheel Safary, Tanay Chheda, Tisca Chopra Plot: A young boy with dyslexia grapples with life, until he meets his mentor — an art teacher also with dyslexia. Why it’s special: “Perfectionist” Aamir Khan’s directorial debut, this film is exceptional in its story-telling. Truly sensitive, minus melodrama and highlighting an often-ignored condition, Taare may also have given Bollywood a new generation star, Darsheel, 11.
Big super flops
The year 2007 has also been marked by some spectacular flops, many of them from celebrated directors.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s musical, Saawariya, did poorly at the box office, despite the much-hyped debut of star kids Ranbir and Sonam Kapoor; the film has a look alike of a ballet with only colours of blue.
Pradip Sarkar’s Lagaa Chunari Mein Daag had a hackneyed storyline and crippling melodrama. The film died naturally, despite the presence of stars such as Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan.
Another huge failure was Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag, a poorly-judged remake of Sholay – a top Bollywood film of all time. Even the presence of Amitabh Bachchan, this time as villain, failed to lift it.
Quote of the day: If you cannot convince them, confuse them. - Harry S Truman
Kangana Ranaut merely doesn’t fear about what people have to say about her picture on the cover of a film magazine. Seen in a body suit, Kangana’s picture is attached to by a headline that screams: Naked truth exposed!
Kangana’s so-called nude appearance has arrested a lot of attention. The actress, however, is unfazed. She says, “What’s the big deal about the picture? Are any of my vital organs seen? I haven’t posed nude at all. These days one doesn’t need to. Body suits are available readily in the market.”
Kangana fails to understand why so many eyebrows are being evoked? She says, “Why would I be upset? It was for an annual issue and we just tried doing something divergent. In my profession, one has to do different kinds of photo shoots. I fail to understand why such a big deal is made about a normal picture.”
This party comprised no more dissimilar and Sallu bhai made his entry through the back entrance only after the Bachchans had left the building. The word of mouth is that Sallu has his escort keep open a watch and assure whether the Bachchan’s are still there or are they gone, it is only after they have left that he enters.

Mehra intends to bring Amitabh, Jaya and Abhishek together in their real-life roles of husband, wife and son in Bhairavi, which will be set in the world of classical Indian music. “It’s a project that has been with me for a while. I have already narrated it to Amitji and Abhishek. And they’re on,” Mehra said.
By the way, Bhairavi is the name of Mehra’s daughter. While he waits for his dream projection to materialise, Mehra also has plans for Paanch Kaurav. “It is a mythological composition, on the lines of Raiders Of The Lost Arc and Lord Of The Rings. It’s a large film, with an approximated budget of Rs 70 crores,” he explicated.

Ever imagined, who will be the host for the Amul Star Voice of India, Chotte Ustad, it is none other than Abhaas who was the third finalist for the Amul SVOI. Abhas does not possess the right spirit for anchoring the show, he will look like a comic strip on stage, he does not have the body language , nor powerful screen presence. It is wondered as to why he was offered the post when there were so many other able and eligible contestants in the earlier show, or was Gajendra Singh, the maker of the show Amul Star Voice of India, was under pressure to retain Abhaas!
