When Deepika Padukone met her idol, Rishi Kapoor not as a fan but Rishi’s son’s girlfriend she was flabbergasted and said “It’s amazing. But in his younger days my dad (badminton champ Prakash Padukone) was often told that he resembled Rishi Uncle. I grew up as his big fan, have seen Karz and Kabhi Kabhie number of times. When Ranbir took me to meet his parents, I was re-living my childhood images of the most compatible couple I’ve ever seen on screen.”
Even the Kapoors has welcomed their would be daughter in law that’s why Deepika feels “Rishi Uncle is so warm. As for Neetu Aunty, she has an aura of natural grace and charm about her. She’s very poised and articulate. I’ve met her more than I’ve met Uncle. Me and Rishi uncle are going to be working toge
ther. We had a reading together recently. He’s so passionate about cinema. I’ve so much to learn from him.”
Deepika cannot go on without appreciating the Kapoors, she has lot of regard to both of them which is apparent from her statement which says “Both Ranbir and his sister Ridhima have been brought up with the right values. They come from such an illustrious family. And yet they’re so down-to-earth. I see many similarities between their upbringing and mine. Though both Ranbir and I were exposed to celebrity situations from childhood, our parents have made sure we’re firmly rooted to reality.”
When asked about their marriage, Deepika expressed that “we’re both very comfortable in our relationship. Now that we’ve come out in the open about our relationship, our parents are very happy. Beyond that it’s too early to talk about marriage.”
About her affair with Yuvraj and on the impressionable comment made by Yuvraj, Deepika says confidently that “I really don’t think she said anything against me. If she had a grudge she’d call me up and talk to me. I always say that no outside source can know what kind of a relationship two people share. I spoke to her after the statements attributed to her came out. I’ve always shared a fantastic rapport with her. She’s a wonderful and strong person. I’ve learnt a lot from her. As a woman and mother, I look up to Yuvraaj’s mother. She’s a multi-tasking mother. She has single-handedly brought up her two children. Yuvraaj is doing extremely well for himself. And his younger brother who has just started out is also doing very well himself. I wish the family all the best.”

Bollywood’s leading ladies say they have never felt mediocre to men and mull over opportunities are escalating for women in the country.
On Womens Day today i.e. 8th March,2008 ,BestDesi.com asked Bollywood stars on what they feel being a woman , this is what they opined:
Shilpa Shetty:
As a woman I’ve nothing to grumble about. Today when I go abroad I’m proud to symbolize my film fraternity, my gender, my country and myself. I guess I’ve been singularly lucky. I realize there’re so many women in our country who are still aggressive to earn a living. But I think things are varying very fast. Opportunities for women aren’t incomplete any longer.
Hema Malini:
I’m proud to be a woman and an Indian. With the prominence that I’ve achieved I’ve no problem getting what I want. But I know it isn’t so with a lot of women in our country. I sympathize with their distress and I do want to work towards getting better their lot. That’s one of the reasons I joined politics.
Ekta Kapoor :
Being a woman is no annoyance. Though I won’t say it’s an benefit either in today’s India - at least not in the corporate world. Yet lots of women in rural India are made to believe they’re deprived by their gender. Yes gender bias is fading. I think our inherent advantage as women is that we’re stronger than men even though we’re more perceptive.
Bipasha Basu:
The new Indian woman cuts across all age groups and class structures. We acclimatize better to situation because we are not playing by the rules of others. We are flexible and are able to bounce back from every prospect. I know women who go to work, take care of house and home, and be mothers without breaking a step. I don’t know many men who can do that. Somehow we never tire out ourselves as much in the place of work as men do.

During his hey days Govinda was a greater star and who was friendly with the tiny actress, when she was staying with her parents in an Andheri apartment. Out of emotion, he had given her that bungalow, which does not exist now. Now that nothing emerges between them, Govinda is asking her to return the Bungalow.
During earlier times, when Rani was a struggling actress, she wanted to stay in a modest place, so Govinda had transferred the bungalow in her name so legal battle may not help him much. Now that Govinda came to know that Rani Mukherji had bought a expansive home in Juhu’s Janki Kutir area, Govinda started taking advice on the ways of getting back his erstwhile property. He is still seeking advice only, not talked to Rani directly.
IGovinda and Rani Mukherji have worked together in several hit movies like ‘Chalo Ishq Ladaye’, ‘Hadh Kar Di Aapne’, ‘Pyar Deewana Hota Hai’ etc and their on screen and off screen chemistry were awesome. And this rewarding of a bungalow to Rani by Govinda is the result of these repercussions of those days.
If Govinda wants to unlock the Pandora box that would unquestionably go not in favour of Rani, but it would also pitch terrible radiance on Govinda who wants back something gifted at some point of time to somebody unusual!!
Perhaps Govinda did not know that “small gifts make friends, a great one will make enemyâ€.

Before returning to India and setting up his company Infosys, its Chairman Mr. Narayanmurthy worked in Bulgeria. He had a very horrific time during his preceding days of staying there. Civil war cropped up there and Mr. Murthy had to proceed to his homeland. The money he possessed was also limited. He somehow caught a train to Paris. In the train journey he got acquainted with a girl and started conversing with her in French.

Thinking that they were talking against communism, the Communist soldiers on the platform seized and put him into jail. When the soldiers were sure that he is in Indian and thus they allowed to him after 48 hours. Two days of hunger and a long walk on the highway to grab hold of some transport to railways, he learnt his lesson of life.
It was at this time that he decided that not communalism but free enterprise with a flexible bend for ill-fated will resolve the predicament and removal of poverty to an extent.

Homage to the legendary and the eternal tragic queen Madhubala on her Birthday/Death Anniversary in February
Her childhood days
Madhubala is India’s Hindi film industry’s, delicate, semi-tragic, mortal survival. She remains a seductress even 35+ year after her demise.

Madhubala’s father, was Ataullah Khan, a Pathan who had immigrated from the Pakistan. She was born, February 14, 1933, Valentines Day, in the Malad suburb of Bombay. Her birth name was Mumtaz Khan, the third of 11 children. Bombay Talkies studio was located in the Malad suburb where the Bombay Talkies was located. She was interviewed at the age of 8 by DeviKa Rani and Himanshu Rai, for an audition. Having impressed by her performance they put her in the movie Basant. The song was a super hit, after she acted in many films as a child artiste. Â
Under the direction of Kidar Sharma, at the age of 13 Mumtaz was signed as heroine opposite Raj Kumar who done the debue with this movie. It was on this film that producer Devika Rani gave her the name Madhubala, which means, “young maiden made of honey”. After that she acted in 17 movies, even when madhubala was not 17.
Madhubala grew within the studio complex. When her friends went to school she gave shooting for the movie, her father was very possessive about her and he doted on her money.Â
Chemistry with Dilip Kumar
She featured with Dilip Kumar in the film Tarana and their off screen affair too started and it is said that this was one of the legendry tragic love affair.

Madhubala and Dilip Kumar were deep in love, but her father opposed. He did not like the affair, as whole her money, property etc. was under his control. Their affair was at that time took to court also as Madhubala’s father did not allow her to go got location shoots with Dilip Kumar. Since her family was totally against the affair, it ended up on a bitter note. Dilip once told about Madhubala that “I love this woman and shall love her till my dying day.” The affair though, had come to a bitter end.
Her love affairs
Old stalwarts say that her first director Mr Kidar Sharma, who gave her first break was in deeply love with her, but madhubla never reciprocated, he was a married man too. Later film Mahal was made by Kamal Amrohi, they too had a serious love affair. Film Mahal was a super hit due to their serious affair.Amrohi was again a married man, madhubala told him to divorce his first wife, she even offered him lakhs of rupees for that. But he wanted to be devoted to his first wife. She became heart broken and then left him in sway.Â
Madhubala was proposed by three men, Pradeep Kumar, Bharat Bhushan and Kishor Kumar. She selected Kishor. They had a civil marriage and Kishore converted to Islam and was renamed Karim Abdul . His parents refused to attend the wedding and never really accepted Madhubala as they thought she had broken their son’s marriage. When Madhubala went to touch her father in law’s feet they moved away.Â
 Â
She moved back to her bungalow because her inlaws were torturing her. Madhubala realised that she had made a mistake in marrying Kishore; who was ineffective and parsimonious. What a catastrophe!!Â

The Screen divinity
She is considered the most beautiful woman to have ever appeared on the Indian film screen. Her untimely death and tragic romance with Dilip Kumar has superior her to legendary significance. Many journalists have claimed that Madhubala was very immoral, and obsessed many lovers. May be it is the thoughts of these journalists’ conjecture. Madhubala was lively and flirtatious, yet this is no proof of carelessness.

The world is a global marketplace and where once India was faced with watching Hollywood reruns, Bollywood is now one of the largest most powerful motion picture production facilities in the world.
Statistics: 1000 Hindi-language films are produced every year. Ticket sales exceed 3.6 billion.

Hollywood has its stars, so too does Bollywood and while the world’s tabloids may focus on Britney Spears, Yana Gupta and Abhay Deol are not far behind with a relationship that was secret, but now has been made public.
Randeep Hooda and Sushmita Sen are rumored to be having secret meetings on horseback, but the rumors were denied… “Where do you hear all this? Its complete rubbish,” laughs Sushmita. Aishwarya Rai has no intentions of quitting movies simply because she is married; and is paired with Gerard Depardieu in the film Asterix at the Olympic Games.
Another of Bollywood’s babes Monalisa (real name Antara Biswas) continues to draw attention and gasps from men (and some women) across India as she posses in revealing photographs and videos. Talking of photoshoots Gauri Khan graces the cover of US magazine “Vogue” and tells all in an expo’se.
Deepika Padukone a beautiful Bollywood heartbreaker, makes movies (latest Om Shanti Om) and works toward a Bachelors degree at Indira Gandhi National Open University. Heartbreakers John Abraham and Bipasha Basu have exchanged rings and will be married soon. Bollywood may never be the same with these eligible Bollywood stars getting hitched.

Possessing a beautiful face and a mesmerizing smile, Ayesha Takia is one such actress who is capable of winning over people with her performance as well as sweet talk. Another interesting thing about Ayesha is that the cutie has been able to win applauses from the audience both for her roles in serious films as well as in comedy. Soon Ayesha will be seen in an interesting role in Rohit Shetty’s comedy thriller Sunday. Recently, we caught up with Ayesha and during a brief encounter she talked about her film Sunday, her upcoming projects and plans for the future. Here are the excerpts.
Q: Tell us something about your character in Sunday.
A: In this film, my character’s name is Sehar who works as a dubbing artiste for a cartoon network. She is a very forgetful kind of a girl and cannot remember things of the past and as a result she is often in problems.
Q: This is the first time that you are portraying a dubbing artist. Did you need to take any special preparation for this?
A: Actually Vikash, who had trained Tussar Kapur for the dumb character in Golmaal, has helped me a lot in doing this role to perfection. Simultaneously, I used to watch a lot of cartoon films at home to prepare myself for the role which demanded that the facial expressions of the artist should match his voice. While doing this role I have often noticed that the expressions of some dubbing artists are very loud and on the other hand, some people’s appearances are so funny that I often used to feel ashamed. I loved doing this role as it provided me with an opportunity to learn a lot of things.
Q: While preparing for the role you have watched a lot of cartoon shows. Which among them is your favorite?
A: I personally liked ‘Donald Duck’ and ‘Mickey Mouse’ a lot and this is also because of the voice-overs in these shows. I also liked ‘Tom and Jerry’, but this is a silent cartoon show and hence I did not get much to learn from this show.
Q: Would you call this a return to your childhood days?
A: (Laughingly) No, it is nothing like this. But it is also true that I have never spent so much time watching cartoon networks and now it looks so strange. I remember initially when I used to watch the cartoon networks, my dad used to come and tease me saying that I was watching cartoons at this age and I used to smilingly reply that I am merely preparing for my role. Then he used to remind me that I would do the same thing when I was a kid.
Q: What has been your experience working with co-stars?
A: I have enjoyed a lot working with everyone. There were four men - Ajay, Arshad, Irfaan and Rohit - in the film and I was the lone girl. But I have never felt any difference working with them and even joked with them. Ajay is not only a sporting person, but also very protective. Many people have told me that he is prankster, but I have always found him to be an introvert. Irfaan too is very much like Ajay, but Arshad is a funny person and always made us laugh with his jokes and pranks. And what should I tell about Rohit, he was the director, but still one of us. While working he was serious, but rest of the time, he was like a friend.
Q: In this film there is an incident where you miss a Sunday. How do you spend your Sundays in real life?
A: (Laughingly) Sundays were very attractive to me since my school days as it would be a holiday. I always feel very upset when I miss a holiday in real life. On Sundays I wake up late and do all my work leisurely. And there is a special fun in watching television shows on this day.
Q: After Sunday what else is in the pipeline?
A: I am working in Boney Kapoor’s Wanted which is a remake of Pokhri in Tamil. I am doing the role of a gym instructor who doesn’t have a father and she works to look after her mother and younger brother. I am also working with Nagesh once again, but I don’t know whether the film will be titled 8 BY 10 or Tasveer. This is a big budget psychological thriller and here I am opposite Akshay Kumar. The film is a story about a couple from Canada. In addition, I am doing De Taali for E Nivas and the film is based on the topic of friendship. Aftab is opposite me in this film, which is a wonderful movie like Socha Na Tha.
Q: Since the beginning of your career you have concentrated on career-oriented films rather than masala films. What is your take on this?
A: Actually, I am fortunate that in the initial days of my career I have got good offers. I am also grateful to the audience who has appreciated my performances in Socha Na Tha and Dor, otherwise these days an artiste’s fate is sealed between hit and flop films. This year my first release is Sunday and I have a lot of expectations from this movie as not only the film is good, but also because it involves good actors and a talented director.
Q: According to you, are you a serious actor or a comedy film actor?
A: I consider myself both. For instance, Dor is such a film that even after 20 years I would feel proud to talk to my children about my performance in the film. On the other hand, I have done some light or comedy films. I am of the opinion that as an actor, I should act in both kinds of films because acting in a particular type of film would not only put a stamp on an actor, but also bore him or her.
Q: Which do you feel was a turning point in your career?
A: Frankly speaking, till date I have not come across any point in my life that I can call a turning point. But I am really hoping for a turning point in my life. All I need is a super-duper hit film and a character that no one has performed so far, so that I can satiate the artist in me. However, I am quite happy with my present situation.
Q: What was the reason that made you accept a film like No Smoking after doing a successful movie like Dor?
A: Look, there can be no comparison between Dor and No Smoking. I don’t want to do any film that will have all the ingredients of a Bollywood masala, but the film should provide me with ample opportunity to perform.
Q: Some of your films like Salaam-E-Ishq and Fool And Final flopped despite having big names and great casting. What is the reason behind this?
A: It has often been seen that when we expect a lot from something, it generally deprives us. It is mostly a matter of luck and chance. As you just said, Salaam-E-Ishq flopped despite having a big star cast. It feels very bad because it was basically not a bad film, but definitely a long one. The problem with Fool And Final was that people took this as a serious film, when we had made it clear in the promos that the audience should take the movie lightly. Although these are not thought-provoking films, I enjoyed doing them very much.
Q: In Bollywood, the audience generally appreciates male comedians rather than female comic actors. Do you feel that the audience will do justice with your performance in Sunday?
A: I sincerely pray that the audience appreciate my performance as a comedienne in the movie. My favorite women comedians in Bollywood are Sridevi and Juhi Chawla and I am sure that everyone will accept this. To tell you honestly, I would prefer to do comedy roles to wearing low cut blouses like the present day heroines.

Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit, heartthrob of many, who had returned with the dance and music film “Aaaja Nachle†has been named for the prestigious Padmashri award.

“Aaja Nachleâ€, although a very emotional movie containing dance, could not be a box office knock, but for her numerous fans it was a extravagance, who liked her performance. Madhuri is married to a US based heart surgeon and has two small sons.
“I have never been a part of number game and we are not the racing horses who should be numbered. Either the work you do is good or bad. I have come back not because I miss the media archlights or being written about… it’s secondary. I missed my craft!” she was quoted as saying.
Although Madhuri has gone back to her husband and kids in the US, but many producers/directors are in talk with her for signing her in their movie. According to rumours, she is yet to sign any movie, her main concern being raising her small kids.
I am an ardent and dedicated fan of Madhuri and I appreciate the Government of India for honouring her with this award. She really deserves it. Congratulations Madhuri!!

The British in 1929 opened Delhi Flying Club to Indians and not many joined the Club. One of the student was P.D. Sharma, Sarla’s husband. After he became a full fledged Pilot, Sharma and Sarla got married.Sarla was 16 at that time.

But instead of giving kitchen as endowment to his wife, as a normal Indian husband, he convinced her to join Flying Club. You are talking about 1936, when you were fictional about women becoming pilot, they don’t expect the women to go out the kitchen. I mean it is a men’s world all the time, there are husbands who do not like their wives even to drive their personal car, it was awe-inspiring on the side of Cap. Sharma who persuaded his wife to join the Aviation Flying Club—standing ovation to him.
[polaroid=17,320,240]
Sarla had taken only 9 hours of flying lessons, but she was successful in ingoing the cockpit of a Gypsy Moth and flew into the blue skies, and made a history as India’s first lady pilot in the year 1936. That’s why Sarla Thakral’s accomplishment had got no more analogs. There was no barricade for Sarla from accepting that unaccompanied flight. She is so dashing and courageous, at a time when the flying was like dream, flying in air was like phenomenon.
On that point comprised entirely a fistful of manly pilots in India. For women, of course aviating constituted ludicrous.” I used to hand over my chunni to my flying aide before I sat in the cockpit. One day Rai Bahadur Roop Chand who later went on to become the Indian ambassador to America, told my husband to scolded me and told me not to be such a be-sharam and that I should not take off my chunni while flying,” she says with an express amusement.
In those days she could take flying lessons for Rs. 30 an hour. ” Learning flying was cheap because not many wanted to risk their life. Sarla obtained her ‘A’ license when she accrued over 1000 hours of flying.
Sarla was now gearing up herself to apply for the group B license that would permit her to fly as a commercial pilot, but the destiny did not cooperate, the Jodhpur club closed down soon afterwards with the outbreak of World War ll.
To append supplementary catastrophe, she was widowed at the tender age of 24.Her husband died in a crash. She had a four year old daughter too. Her parents got her re-married. But her new husband too very cooperating and did not stand up in his wife’s way of evolution. He took his wives interests also in view.her previous husbands’ bereavement ruined her. She did not want to become a pilot any more. Sarla abandoned her plans to adapt a commercial pilot and divulged into various fields much in advanced at that time. She joined the Mayo School of Arts in Lahore. Along with paintings she also began designing clothes and costume jewelery.
She had also started textile printing and her sari prints were a frenzy with the designer mass and one of the clients was Vijaylaxmi Pandit.Sarla Thakral is 91 years old young lady still flying high in her life.
She had later shifted to Delhi and now she stay put in Bengali market, a place where only the privileged lives. She supplied her jewellery designs to several cottage industries for over 20 years.
Sarla was in recent times honoured for being the oldest yet the fittest person in her neighbourhood. She is 90+ now. Women of today should take the epitomize life of this prototypical lady who had a dynamism and energy other than the far side that of the kitchen and office and attending the cockpit flying high; I salute the first lady pilot.
Sarla Thakral is all the same flourishing and thriving till date. May God make her more hale and hearty and prosperous life, she is a superwoman indeed, because success is being able to spend your life your own way.

The magnum opus, Jodhaa- Akbar, will now be released in April 2008
Video:
Wait, don’t blow the bugles yet. Its date of release has been announced so
often that yet
another postponement isn’t exactly surprising. The Mughal opus which was to be
released on
January 15 has been postponed to April. Not to worry, we’re talking April 2008.
Long wait
Perhaps the wait will make the heart grow fonder for Ashutosh Gowariker’s
Jodhaa-Akbar
featuring Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan in the eponymous roles. The film has
been so
painstakingly shot that its first cut clocked in at five-and-ahalf-hours. Now
all efforts are
being made to reduced the length to a more endurable three hours.
Meanwhile, many of the film’s supporting actors who gave months on end of their
dates for the
shooting schedules are simmering under their breath. More work, less pay Not
only were they
paid precious little money but had to forego other assignments - all in the hope
of getting
exposure on the Mughal-sized screen.
Yet, there is no denying that sometimes there are unavoidable delays. At
present, director
Gowariker is confined to bed because of a severe back ailment. He has been
advised to rest in
bed for two months, or so goes the trade talk. He is not taking phone calls or
responding to
SMSs.
First, the film produced by Gowariker with UTV was scheduled to be released
during the Diwali
season. It was then shifted to January 15 and then again to February 24.

Kaisa yeh Ishq hain, kaisa yeh khwab hain
(What kind of love is this? What kind of dream is this?)
Kaise jazbaat ka umda sailaab hai
(What kind of a flood of emotions have gushed in?)
Din badley, raatein badli, baatein badli, jeene ke andaaz hi badle hain
(The days have changed, nights have changed, conversations changed, the mode of life has changed)
In lamho ke daman mein, pakeeza se rishtay hain
(In the intimacy of these moments, there are some pure relationships)
Koi kalma mohabbat ka, dohratay farishtay hain
(The angels are reiterating the spiritual songof love)
Jodha’s lines:
Hmmm, samay ne yeh kya kiya, ho…badal di hain kaya
(What has time done to us, it has changed my flesh/skin)
Tumhe maine pa liya, mujhe tumne paaya
(I have found you, you have found me)
Miley dekho aise hain hum, ke do sur ho jaise madham, koi zyaada na koi kum kisi raag mein
(We have met like as if two harmonies meet of a rythmn, neither high nor low)
Ke prem aag mein, jalte dono ki hai tan bhi hain man bhi, man bhi hain tan bhi
(As if in the flames of passion, both burn our body and soul, soul and body)
Akbar’s lines:
Mere khwabon ke is gulistaan mein, tumse hi to bahar chayee hain
(In the garden of my dreams/reverie, you have brought the beautiful springtime)
Phoolon mein rang mere they lekin, in mein khushboo tumhi se aayi hain
(The flowers have my colours, but the fragrance is from you)
Kyu hain yeh aarzoo, kyu hai yeh justju
(Why do these desires exist, why does this search lives on?)
Kyu dil bechain hain, kyu dil betaab hain
(Why is the heart so impatient, why is it so impulsive?)
Din badley, raatein badli, baatein badli, jeene ke andaaz hi badle hain
((The days have changed, nights have changed, conversations changed, the mode of life has changed)
In lamho ke daaman mein, paakeza se rishtey hain
(In the intimacy/companionship of these moments, there are some pure relationships)
Koi kalma mohabbat ka, dohratay farishtay hain…..
(The angels are reiterating the spiritual songof love)
p.s. Kalma means Beginning of a verse in Quran, implying a spiritual/holy song
Man Mohana (O lord Krishna)
Man mohana, man mohana
(O lord Krishna)
Kanha suno na, tum bin paaon kaise chain
(Oh lord Krishna listen, how do I find peace without you?)
Tarsoo tumhi ko din rain
(I crave for you day and night)
Chodke apne kashi mathura
(Leave your Kashi mathura behind)
Aake baso more nain
(And come and dwell in my eyes)
Tum bin paaon kaise chain
(How do I find peace without you?)
Tarsoo tumhi ko din rain
(I crave for you day and night)
Verse 1
Ik pal ujiyaara aaye, ik pal andhiyara chaye
(One instant its is brightness, the other moment its all darkness)
Man kyu na ghabraye, kaise na ghabraye
(Why wont the heart fear, how wouldn’t it be anxious)
Man jo koi doraha apni raho mein paaye
(When the mind is on the crossroads)
Koun disha jaaye? Tum bin koun samjhaye
(Which path to follow? Who other than you would explain?)
Raas rachaiyya vrindavan ke gokul ke vaasi
(The dancer, the one who resides in the vrindavan(Forest) of gokul)
Radha tumhri daasi
(Radha is your servant)
Darshan ko hai pyaasi
(Shes craving to see you)
Verse 2
Shyam salone nandlala Krishna banva ri
(The dark skinned, lovely , soulful Krishna)
Tumhri chab hai nyaari
(Your form is gorgeous)
Main to hoon tan man haari
(I have surrenderd my body and soul)
Man mohana man mohana
(O lord krishna. O lord Krishna)
Kanha suno na tum bin paaon kaise chain
(Oh lord listen, how do I find peace without you?)
Tarsoo tumhi ko din rain
(I crave for you day and night)
Verse 3
Jeevan ik nadiyaa hain, lehro lehro behti jaaye
(Life is a river, its waves flow on and on)
Is mein man ki naiyya doobey kabhi utar jaaye
(The heart’s ship sometimes gets drowned sometimes it is saved)
Tum na khevaiyya ho to koi tat kaise paaye
(If you are not the guide, then how will one reach their destination)
Majhdhaar behlaaye, toh tumri sharan aaye
(If the waves get turbulent, then we come in your refuge)
Main hoon tumhari, hain tumhara mera yeh jeevan
(Im yours, and my life is yours)
Tumko hi dekhoon main, dekhoon koi darpan
(I see only you in every reflection)
Bansi ban jaaongi, in hoton ki ho jaaongi
(I’ll become a flute and belong to these lips of yours)
In sapno ke chalkar hain mera man aangan
(In these dreams, I find the home of my heart)
