Sarang, the Producer of the movie established the news and said, “Tanushree refused to attend the rehearsals and wanted to start shooting the song directly. She also insisted that the song should be picturised only on her.” 

But Tanushree trying to camouflage the issue said, “Yes, there was an issue on the sets, but I didn’t want to take this to the media. Is there anything wrong with that? But the electronic media was adamant on getting bytes from me and in the fracas, my car was damaged. Moreover, if I wanted to throw tantrums, I would have thrown them on the very first day and not waited for the last day of the shoot. I rehearsed for five days for the song and was well prepared for it.” 
A source close to the actress made known, “When the filmmakers had approached Tanushree for the item number, she had not only confirmed the design of her costume, but also the dance steps for the song. But she was shocked when she learnt that the dance involved intimate touching, which was not acceptable to her.” 
In the meantime, when asked about the confrontation, Rakhi said, “Rakesh Sarang felt that I was the right person for the song so I agreed to do it. I have great regard for Nana Patekar.”

Hijack the movie: Revisiting KandaharFiled Under: Bollywood, Box Office, Hijack

MUMBAI (Reuters) - A new Bollywood film about a plane hijacking involving a separatist militant outfit echoes the real life hijacking of an Indian Airlines plane in 1999.

But “Hijack”, directed by Kunal Shivdasani, will focus on a rescue operation conducted by lead actor Shiney Ahuja inside the aircraft — something that did not happen in the Kandahar case.

“It may seem similar to that of the Kandahar hijacking case but ‘Hijack’ is a purely fictional film,” Shivdasani told Reuters.

“We are not pointing fingers at the Kandahar hijackers or which group was responsible behind the incident.”

Five armed men hijacked the Airbus A-300 carrying 189 passengers and crew between Kathmandu and New Delhi on Christmas Eve in 1999. The plane touched down in western India, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates before landing in Kandahar in Afghanistan.

The hijackers killed one passenger early in the week-long stand-off, but the remaining passengers and crew walked free after India released three Kashmir separatist militants from jail.

India said the hijackers, who were never caught, were all Pakistani and accused Pakistan’s government of complicity in the hijacking, charges it denied.

British-born Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, one of the freed militants, was later convicted and sentenced to death by a Pakistani court for his role in the murder in 2002 of Daniel Pearl, a reporter for the Wall Street Journal.

“My film is thoroughly commercial and if people come to watch my film due to similarity of the film’s plot to that of Kandahar incident, (it’s) good for us,” Shivdasani said.

Her childhood days

Madhubala is India’s Hindi film industry’s, delicate, semi-tragic, mortal survival. She remains a seductress even 35+ year after her demise.

 
Madhubala’s father, was Ataullah Khan, a Pathan who had immigrated from the Pakistan. She was born, February 14, 1933, Valentines Day, in the Malad suburb of Bombay. Her birth name was Mumtaz Khan, the third of 11 children. Bombay Talkies studio was located in the Malad suburb where the Bombay Talkies was located. She was interviewed  at the age of 8 by DeviKa Rani and Himanshu Rai, for an audition. Having impressed by her performance they put her in the movie Basant. The song was a super hit, after she acted in many films as a child artiste.  

Under the direction of Kidar Sharma, at the age of 13 Mumtaz was signed as heroine opposite  Raj Kumar who done the debue with this movie. It was on this film that producer Devika Rani gave her the name Madhubala, which means, “young maiden made of honey”. After that she acted in 17 movies, even when madhubala was not 17.

Madhubala grew within the studio complex. When her friends went to school she gave shooting for the movie, her father was very possessive about her and he doted on her money. 

Chemistry with Dilip Kumar

She featured with Dilip Kumar in the film Tarana and their off screen affair too started and it is said that this was one of the legendry tragic love affair.

Madhubala and Dilip Kumar were deep in love, but her father opposed. He did not like the affair, as whole her money, property etc. was under his control. Their affair was at that time took to court also as Madhubala’s father did not allow her to go got location shoots with Dilip Kumar. Since her family was totally against the affair, it ended up on a bitter note. Dilip once told about Madhubala that “I love this woman and shall love her till my dying day.” The affair though, had come to a bitter end.

Her love affairs

Old stalwarts say that her first director Mr Kidar Sharma, who gave her first break was in deeply love with her, but madhubla never reciprocated, he was a married man too. Later film Mahal was made by Kamal Amrohi, they too had a serious love affair. Film Mahal was a super hit due to their serious affair.Amrohi was again a married man,madhubala told him to divorce his first wife, she even offered him lakhs of rupees for that. But he wanted to be devoted to his first wife. She became heart broken and then left him in sway. 

Madhubala was proposed by three men, Pradeep Kumar, Bharat Bhushan and Kishor Kumar.  She selected Kishor.They had a civil marriage and Kishore converted to Islam and was renamed Karim Abdul . His parents refused to attend the wedding and never really accepted Madhubala as they thought she had broken their son’s marriage. When Madhubala went to touch her father in law’s feet they moved away. 
  
She moved back to her bungalow because her inlaws were torturing her. Madhubala realised that she had made a mistake in marrying Kishore; who was ineffective and parsimonious. What a catastrophe!! 

The Screen divinity

She is considered the most beautiful woman to have ever appeared on the Indian film screen. Her untimely death and tragic romance with Dilip Kumar has superior her to legendary significance. Many journalists have claimed that Madhubala was very immoral, and obsessed many lovers.  May be it is the thoughts of these journalists’ conjecture. Madhubala was lively and flirtatious, yet this is no proof of carelessness.

All are aware that Bollywood heartthrob Salman Khan has proposed marriage to Katrina Kaif twice over the past two years. But this New Year’s Eve is said to have been quite different for this hot couple!

Bestdesi.com got the news through a common friend that all through December, Salman was in a contemplative mood about his love affair. He confessed to this friend that while his colleagues Shah Rukh and Hrithik were extremely happy with their wives and children, his own life was not going anywhere.

But unknown to many, Salman this time, set the stage for what appears to be the most romantic proposal of the year! Since the entire Khan family headed for their farm in Panvel to celebrate New Year, Salman quietly said he would drive down with Katrina. And according to the grapevine, just before they touched the farm at Panvel, Salman stopped the car and, under the stars, seriously proposed her.

Whether she has said the big ‘YES’ or not remains to be seen. But Salman has apparently returned in a jubilant mood. His friend tells us that Salman regrets the earlier two proposals he made to Katrina, for they were in view of others, which is said to have humiliated her.

Also, Khan is now willing to give her a free harness on her professional decisions. In keeping with the freedom his family has allowed to all women to work and be on their own, apparently Salman has realized that he cannot stop Katrina from following her dreams.

All that’s in his mind is that he does not want to lose this woman whom he loves so much. As for seeing them together on screen, Salman and Katrina will next appear in Subhash Ghai’s romantic Main Yuvraj, the shooting of which is already underway.

The wait for an interview with this rising star is worth every minute of it. Cheekily intelligent and naughtily witty, Darsheel (Ishaan Awasthi) Safary is a star in his own right. Quiz him on his now famous quotient and he gloats, “I think I’m famous but my mother, father and even Aamir uncle have warned me to not feel so proud.” 
A student at Shiamak Davar Dance School, “it all happened when Amole uncle (writer and creative director Amole Gupte) came to watch me perform at a show. Even Shiamak uncle recommended me and then I auditioned before Aamir uncle.” 
He switches from the playful to the all-attentive mode as talk veers towards his equation with Aamir Khan. Even as Aamir taught him how to cheat in the game of Uno and the difference between two kinds of tear bananewalla glycerines, “my biggest kick was working with Aamir uncle and that too with perfection. It’s a big word but we just had to be perfect.” What about Kiran Rao? Was she a Khatra Aunty? “She was very nice.” 
But didn’t Aamir lose his temper even once? “Sure, he did. He scolded me once at Panchgani. We were supposed to go to bed by 8 pm. But I always used to party from nine till three-four in the morning.” And just who were his partners in crime? “I made Tanay, my best friend in Taare Zameen Par and Sachet, my brother in TZP , party with me. There were other boarders too who joined in. But I was the only one yawning at the next day’s shoot.” 
Has his image in school changed post-TZP? “I have these four friends Keval, Ashay, Heet Thakkar and Raj — they’ll be happy I named them — who have always encouraged me. But the others bullied me saying, ‘ Pata hai tujhe paisa mil raha hai. Zyada urr mat .’” 
Is that why he doesn’t want to talk about the bullies in school? “I’d much rather talk about my hero Hrithik Roshan. I like him 5,000 times, no, make it five million times. It is my dream to work with him.” Though he would like to work with Aamir again, Darsheel reasons why the actor isn’t his hero. “If tomorrow I work with Saif, I can’t say he is my hero. I need to have my own choice, you see.” 
And what’s the little master’s choice when it comes to his female fans? “I get bugged when girls touch my cheeks,” says Darsheel, the irritation ringing clear. Explains why it took a lot of cajoling from Aamir to convince Darsheel that nobody (least of all girls) would laugh at him if he sat perched on the toilet bowl. Darsheel has already made female fans at Greenlawns High School where he studies. 
According to Darsheel’s mother, girls from eighth and ninth standard are vying for his attention — and have already become his fans. They find him cute, particularly his bunny rabbit smile. “Nobody has made fun of my teeth though. They wanted the character to have bunny teeth. So, they are lucky for me,” says Little Man Tate.

And the winner is Amir-Sanjita,Nach Baliye-3Filed Under: Amir, Star Plus

So after subsequent weeks of solid exertion, worn out ligaments andof course lots of prayers, TV actors Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Sheikh have been declared as the winners of Nach Baliye 3. In a snugly fought encounter the two admired TV stars took home the title at the end of a unbreakable encounter.

Speaking after their victory, Aamir Ali said he was delighted and thankful at the same time. “What can we say but thank you! We have worked very hard… all four of us and it feels great to be at the winning end. It has been a great experience for both of us!”

Aamir and Sanjeeda have been tremendously well-liked amid their fans and it was their fans’ votes that helped the couple secure the title at the end. “The love that they have shown us is very touching. We just want to tell everyone who voted for us a big thank you. It means a lot to both of us,” said the thrilled Ali. 
As winners of Nach Baliye 3 Aamir and Sanjeeda walked away with the grand prize of 20 lakh rupees and a car that has been autographed by all the jodis and special celebrity guests on the show. The choreographer of the winning jodi received an amount of Rs. 10 lakhs as prize money.

Rakhi as usual was upset with the results and she walked away with Abhishek. She incidentally grumbled and fumbled before the media with her crocodile tears and was swindling  that the bahu has won, so thanks a lot, pointing  to Sanjeeda.  She apparently called for a press conference in the middle of the night and demonstrated her complaints against the show , for which nobody has paid any attention.

It is indeed a big accomplishment for Ekta Kapoor, her two bahus got the dance title, the other bahu being Prachi Desai, who won the trophy in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa(read related article).

Mammotty and Mohanlal leave apart teenagers!

(Mammoty and Mohanlal)Malayalam cinema superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal meet head-on desperate times. They have enjoyed box-office domination for over 20 years but those glorious days seem to be past.

All their films in the last two years have flopped forcing Malayalam filmmakers to look for newer, younger heroes.

I think apart from hardcore fans everybody like good movies, whether they are having so called super stars or not.

Mammootty should be a poignant 60 and it may be difficult for the star to continue getting romantic roles. Viewers are tired of seeing these grand papas chasing these young petites, around bushes and tress who look comparable to their grand-daughters A movie reflects values of that society and way of life. Mammooty and Mohanlal need to retire and give the younger guys a chance to showcase their talents. Something must be done to change this .Do a survey-see how fans feel about this.

Sooner or later this whole M&M bandwagon will come to end. The old will be replaced by new ones. And actors like Prithvi, Indrajit and many others will pave their way and should be welcomed to find their forte in the viewers. Whether we like it or not,Mammotty’s and Mohanlal’s restraint are becoming noticeable.

On a second note, malayalam movie makers should stop thinking that M&M are the only ways to make a movie. If not we will see movies like ‘Bus Conductor’ and ‘Maha Samudram’. It is a big question whether this industry will survive after 10yrs from now.

It is time for the Keralites to think something beyond the two MMs. Kerala film industry is blessed many good young actors. It is irony that the movies by young heros becoming the highest grosser of all times in Kerala.

For non-resident malayalees , movies are the only way to keep in touch with the Malayalam language as such. But after seeing and enjoying movies of many action hero Hindi movies, nobody would really be paying attention to the gigantic oversize old mohanlal and mamotty with tiny elusive teenagers. This is the time for change, hence bye bye oldie superstars!

Kashmera is very positive of her dance technique, that’s why when she was eliminated in the last episode , she just made a walk out with Mr Krushna, as she never predicted for herself that she may be in the elimination group too.

Tears , the oldie technique

In the latest episode she gave a dramatic concert, the Judges eyes were filled up with crocodile tears, even Rakhi Sawant was bit poignant, and then shed some tears after the show to win judges empathy. They gave her good marks. And Kashmera said sobbingly that she did not disrespect the judges and the stage by walk-out and she felt sorry about it She says she loves the stage.

Threat for Rakhi

If Kashmera comes back in nach Baliye-3 stage, that will be a big blow to Rakhi Swant, as Kashmera is Rakhi’s strongest contender and till now Rakhi feels that she will win the title (she is fond the big car along with the 20 lakhs cash award as the price money).

Hmmmm—lets keep fingers crossed till the next episode when the results of the wild card will be announced, and if Kashmera is in, definitely Rakhi may have to pull up her socks and work harder and harder to battle with Kashmera in the final round.
