Saif Ali Khan in forefront of SRK in terms of Endorsement
Saif Ali Khan is ahead of Bollywood King, Shahrukh Khan at the endorsement game. In the AdEx Survey, prepared by TAM Media Research, TV ads featuring Saif Ali Khan appeared for around 45 lakh seconds last year, while Shahrukh Khan was lagging behind with 42 lakh seconds and Amitabh Bachchan was third with 32 lakh.
Astoundingly cricket heroes lagged behind with only Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni figuring in the list of 10 most perceptible celebrities in TV ads.
Hrithik Roshan came at the fourth position in the ad visibility list, while Kajol became the highest rank women at the fifth position. Preity Zinta, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Juhi Chawla rounded off the top 10.
Juhi Chawla beat off competition from current stars like Priyanka Chopra, Bipasha Basu and Kareena Kapoor.
Nevertheless, Shahrukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan continue to endorse the largest number of brands. In 2007, King Khan marched ahead with 39 brands while Big B was brand ambassador for 36 brands.
Now it is cricket for Rani Mukherji
She played an angel in 'Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic', and now actress Rani Mukerji will be attempting another exceptional role as she plays a cricketer in Yash Raj Films' next venture, hence she is busy active on the field.
'I don't know if any actress has played a cricketer before. But I'm playing one for sure. In fact, I've been learning cricket regularly on the field for the past two months. I can most certainly play the game convincingly now, though not as good as professionals yet. It's a very big challenge for me,' Rani informed.
Her male lead will be Shahid Kapur with whom she will be making a maiden move.
'Also, for the first time I was playing a character who couldn't cry. Now they can stop saying Rani cries so much in all her films. It was pretty cool to play a character who actually doesn't know how to cry and who had to fly around like Hrithik Roshan in 'Krrish'.' Said the amused Rani.
'It required a lot of physical strength to assume the correct 'flying' posture on the harness. I guess it'd be equally difficult for me to look convincing as a cricketer. But I'm glad to be doing work with challenges.'
On being asked is she not worried over being the eternal Yash Raj heroine , Rani said winking that 'Why? Wasn't 'Saawariya' with Sanjay Leela Bhansali? And if Yash Raj is making some of the best films in our country why should I keep out just because people are talking?
Rani is troubled over her hype on marriage by the media, so she deceitfully asked 'Incidentally, my marriage date Feb 10 (as reported by some media) has come and gone. Would mediapersons like to set another date for me so I can start getting my trousseau ready?'
Well Rani, you cant ever stop gossipmongers! If you stop them how they will continue their flames smoldering?
Enough, say Harman and Harry about comparisons with Hrithik Roshan
Harman Baweja, who is debuting with the much talked about Love Story 2050, has been taking the comparisons with Hrithik Roshan on his chin.
At his music launch last week when someone shouted 'Hey Hrithik' at him from the crowds, Harman smiled and said, 'Can't help the way I look. It's what my parents gave me.'
But Harman and his father Harry Baweja have decided to avert any more comparisons with the Krrish star and also curb the unnecessary digs about Harman's glamorous girlfriend Priyanka Chopra.
Since it was felt that Harman even sounded like Hrithik, Harman's dubbing for Love Story 2050 is being done under strict supervision by a female voice expert who sits with Harman. The film is releasing in July.
'She listens to every word that Harman dubs. And if anywhere he sounds like anyone else, she immediately corrects him and makes him redo the dialogues. For this reason, Harman's dubbing in Love Story 2050 has taken a painfully long time. No actor has taken so long to complete his dubbing. A month away from release and Harman is still dubbing!'
Says a source close to the Bawejas, 'Harman is not the least conscious or worried about all the comparisons with Hrithik. They started when Harry Baweja decided to launch his son in a futuristic film.
'Everyone jumped to the conclusion that it was another Krrish. Then to make the comparisons even stronger there was the Kareena Kapoor factor. She had opted out of Hrithik Roshan's Kaho Na...Pyar Hai after a few days of shooting. The same happened with Harman's Love Story 2050.'
More worrisome to Harman is the way Priyanka Chopra's presence in his life is being seen as a calculated move to gain mileage for the film.
Says the source, 'Harman has a great deal of self-respect. He'd never want to be known by being associated with anyone else more famous and recognisable than him. In fact Kajol and Ajay Devgan were supposed to launch the music of Love Story 2050. Harman's father decided against it at the last minute.
'Harry Baweja in fact rang up his colleague Kumar Mangat and advised him not to allow Kajol and Ajay's presence to overshadow his daughter at the music launch of Haal-e-Dil. That's how self-respecting the Bawejas are.'
It hurts Harman to have his name being constantly mentioned with Priyanka.
Says a source, 'He has now decided to seriously cut down, if not entirely do away with, public appearances with Priyanka. Of course, she will be part of all the Love Story 2050 promotion. But Harman is refusing offers for magazine covers and guest appearances on reality shows with Priyanka.'
Rakhi Sawant gets enraged
Reality shows go tantamount with huge excitement. After reality shows like Nach Baliye, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Yeh Hai Jalwa joins the bandwagon for on-stage drama.

the 10th couple, the Chuppa Rustam jodi.
The couple introduced as the wild card entry was none other than Rakhi’s beau Abhishek Avasthi and her good friend Urvashi Dholakia. Rakhi got furious. She didn’t like the way Abishek and Urvashi stole the show. She publicly insulted him. But Abhishek took it lightly and reacted that he wanted to give Rakhi a surprise. Poor Abishek, how long he will remain a henpecked beau!!!!
Stop ripping off music please
Off late, a young music composer Ram Sampath made the Roshans recompense the price for plagiarism. Ram Sampath had composed a jingle The Thump for a Sony Ericsson TV commercial, which is endorsed by Hrithik Roshan. It is very sad that Plagiarism has become very unbridled today. People are just lifting tunes. Hereafter, Roshans who have the regular habit of stealing music will think twice before stealing another tune, keeping in view the huge amount they had to pay to the music director as compensation.
They are in fact copying a lot from Pakistani music too. The super duper hit film of our industry K3G 's most popular song "boley choodiyan" was copied in tune from a popular private pakistani number " ghar aaja sohniya" sung by female singer "shazia manzoor"
Music directors should know the difference between motivation and plagiarism. Resourceful inspiration is not always wrong. Sometimes you get to listen great songs due to this creative inspiration. Copying in any sense is wrong and should not be done.
