Sanjay Dutt in the role Charles Sobhraj the notorious killer

Sanjay Dutt will depict Charles Sobhraj, a notorious killer nicknamed "the serpent" for his knack to give police the skid, in a forthcoming new film.

Sobhraj, 63, is currently serving a life term in a jail in Nepal for the murder of an American backpacker. He was arrested in 2003 at a casino in Kathmandu. Sobhraj is accused of killing more than 20 young western backpackers across Asia, usually by drugging them, in the 1970s and 1980s. His actions gave rise to two books, a movie.

Dutt, convicted last year in connection with India's worst bombing, will try to enact Sobhraj's character.

The new film, "Charles and I", will spotlight on the years of cat and mouse that Sobhraj played with the law. The film will be shot in Turkey, France, India and Australia. Incidentally, Sobhraj was born to an Indian father and Vietnamese mother. He is a French citizen.

While serving a 20-year sentence in India, he was a fugitive from prison in the mid 1980s, but was caught and returned to jail until 1997 when he was released. In 1975, Thailand issued a warrant for his arrest on charges of drugging and killing six women, all wearing bikinis, on a beach at Pattaya. In the new movie, a police officer narrates the saga of Sobhraj, and discusses his modus operandi.

Sanjay Dutt’s political belief could meet with rigid conflict from some resident groups in the Bandra-Khar area, who are not in support of the actor receiving a ticket in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Dutt lately inclined curiosity in contesting the next Lok Sabha elections. He is reported to have made his political ambitions clear at a function to mark the birthday of a Congress party MLA.
Congress is yet to make a decision on whom to put up for the elections from the constituency, some residents associations have made their position unambiguous. The representatives are opponent because they feel he was involved in the bomb blasts case and also many are not in confrontation with him after his marriage with Manyata, people does not want to acknowledge it, more often than not because Manyata does not embrace a good family backdrop and appropriate stance.
“Our stand is clear: We want candidates with a clean background. We fear that Dutt will not serve the constituency. We will write to all political parties not to give him a ticket,’’ remarked Anandini Thakoor of the Khar Residents Association.
But residents of the area have questioned Dutt’s contribution to society thus far. ‘’What has he done till now?’’ says Thakoor. The associations had decided to start a signature campaign on Sunday in support of MP Priya Dutt, the plan was dismissed as they felt it would tantamount to propagating a picky candidate.

Sanjay Dutt ties knot with Dilnasheen a.k.a. Manyata

Sanjay Dutt tied the knot with Dilnasheen a.k.a Manyata according to the Hindu rituals on 11^th February,2007 in Mumbai in one Manyataâ€™s friendâ€™s residence. Sunil Shetty did the job of her brother and did the kanyadan as none from the brideâ€™s family were present. Even Sanjayâ€™s sisters and daughter Trishala were indiscernible in the marriage. According to Priya Dutt, his sister, she was not aware of the marriage, she got the news via the media. According to the grapevine, Sanjay and Manyata had a court marriage on February 7^th in Goa.

Now, Manyataâ€™s previous husband Mr. Miraj has entered the scene in a cinematic comportment and claims that she was married to him on 5^th April, 2003 in Oshiwala in Mumbai, her real name is Dilnasheen and they have a three year old son from their marriage, who is being brought up by her mother in Dubai and the attention-grabbing and exicting assert made by Mr Miraj is that Manyata is yet to divorce him. He is in possession of a Nikahnama issued by the Mumbai Shariat. If Manyata has not sought divorce from Miraj and is married now to Sanjay, a case of fidelity is probably to be filed against her.

It is also found that Mr. Miraj is presently in jail serving his term for prank calling female film stars and making indecent SMSs to various heroines and he claims that he used to exercise these activities at the behest of Manyata only. Miraj claims that recently Sanjay Dutt used to confront him and used goondaism to grab Manyata from him by using his power and influence.

Well, if the accusations prepared by Miraj are exact and accurate, Sanjay Dutt who is already undergoing court case against him for possessing AK 57, is likely to countenance more quandary, trouble, hullabaloo, corrupt and immorality case too for convincingly marrying Dilnasheen a.k.a Manyata as she still stands married to Miraj and has not separated from him legally.
